Looking for an experienced carpenter or builder to carry out structural works at a residential property in Koolewong (Central Coast). We already have engineer drawings and structural certificate. Work needs to follow engineer specs exactly. Scope of work: • Cut open existing gyprock ceiling and wall • Install new timber posts as per engineer design • Bring a large LVL beam into the roof space • Cut 2 existing beams and connect them to the new beam (steel brackets / bolts as specified) • Install temporary props during works • Reinstate works: • New gyprock • Cornice • Ready for painting (painting not required unless quoted separately) Details: • Engineer drawings & certificate provided • Structural beam: Hyspan LVL 240 × 63 • Posts and fixings as per engineer specs • Single-storey house • Clear access Requirements: • Proven experience with structural beam installation • Own tools • Ability to read engineer drawings • Licensed & insured • Clean, tidy workmanship Please include in your offer: • Your experience with similar structural work • Availability • Quote (labour only or labour + materials — please specify)

I’m looking for someone to cover the ceiling on our outdoor patio, so the insulation is not exposed. The ceiling is quite low so don’t want to lose too much space, so hoping to have it done in sections between the larger timber beams. Will need to supply the materials please or let me know what to get. Thinking the James Hardie HardiFlex eaves from Bunnings could work well but whatever you recommend The area is about 3 x 6.7m and there are 11 timber beams, so about 11 sections attached to the existing beams. I will do the painting myself. I have attached a photo of how it was done in our sunroom for reference. We would like it done to look similar. You will see in the photo I slid some white foamboard under the beam so that’s another method that could work with a sturdier material Please let me know your quote or if you would like to look in person. Hoping to get this job done asap. Expecting it to be $1000-$2000 inc. materials Thanks

Hey! I’m looking for someone handy and practical to help me build a simple, foldable bed base in the back of my Hyundai IX35 for car camping. What I’m after: • A basic, structurally sound bed base that fits the back of my IX35 • Made from timber/plywood (nothing fancy) • Designed to fold up into itself using hinges, so it’s easy to pack away when not in use • Height needs to be practical for storage underneath, but not overly tall • Smooth, safe edges (doesn’t need to be aesthetic or built-in cabinetry) Extras (optional / future-proofing): • I’m interested in eventually adding a pull-out table or slide-out surface at the back • The table doesn’t need to be built this time, but I’d love the design to allow space for one later if possible Notes: • I’m very open to discussing the design and logistics together • This doesn’t need to be a professional camper conversion — just functional, sturdy, and manageable • Happy to chat about materials, measurements, cost, and timeline If you’ve built car setups, bed bases, or enjoy practical woodworking projects, I’d love to hear from you 😊

modifying a piano stool to have shorter legs. the legs use hanger bolts to attach to kerf mount. i can use bunnings to supply the legs such as these https://www.bunnings.com.au/adoored-150mm-rustic-square-timber-furniture-leg_p0225590 but i have not the tools to cut the 45degree face and place the hanger bolt square in the leg, similar to https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lO4a_9LUu-Q i can do the assembly and supply the legs; i just need the hanger bolt installed in a 45 degree flat on the leg
