I'm buying a 2017 Mazda CX-9 GT (2.5 turbo, front-wheel drive, about 105,000 km) and need a full mechanical inspection from someone who'll go through it properly. The car has no service history I can verify, so your report is my main check. First priority: this engine has a known cylinder head cracking problem near the exhaust manifold. Please do these first: • Cooling-system pressure test • Fault-code scan, including stored and pending codes • Coolant and engine oil condition, looking for contamination • The back of the engine, exhaust manifold, heat shields and hoses, checking for coolant leaks or residue Then the full check: • Engine, turbo and intake: leaks, noises, idle and warm-up behaviour • Transmission: shift quality, fluid condition, codes • Brakes: pad and rotor measurements • Suspension and steering: play, bushes, leaking shocks • Tyres: tread depth, age and wear pattern • Battery and charging test, air conditioning, lights and electrics • Underbody: leaks, rust, signs of accident repair • A road test of at least 15 minutes, including 100 km/h • Check that the engine number matches the paperwork. I'll give you the number on the day. The car is at Cars24 in Altona North, and I'll arrange access. Please don't start the engine before you test it. I want to see it cold. Allow about 2 hours. I'll be there. Deliverable: a written report with photos and a pass, watch or fail rating for each item, sent the same day. In your offer, tell me your price, what tools you have (pressure tester and scan tool), and whether you've worked on Mazda or turbo petrol engines. Please have an ABN, and send a sample report if you have one.

I have a Rear Passenger Light from a 2014 Bentley. The auto electrician said that the light is faulty and people on the Bentley Forum said they can be repaired even though it’s a sealed unit. So I’m looking for an electronics specialist who could be confident in repairing the LEDS. There are a couple of places that repair them overseas, so it can be done. I’ve attached pics of the broken light and the drivers side which is working, Park, Brake and main running lights are Orange as in the photo. When it stopped working, you put your foot on the brake and it flashed once then the light would not work after that.

Looking to purchase a 2010 Subaru Forester XT this week, but want to get it properly checked out by a mechanic, to answer things like below. I can be fairly flexible on when but sooner the better. - Would you buy this car yourself at this price? - What repairs are needed immediately, and what might need replacing within the next 6–12 months? - Roughly how much will those repairs cost? - Is there anything that would make you walk away from the purchase
