Hello, We are looking for an experienced handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair a faulty cabinet door at our retail store, in Westfield Burwood. The Issue: A hinge on one of our main under-counter cabinet doors has become loose and is falling off. It is missing screws, and at least one remaining screw is stripped and cannot be tightened. This has caused the door to drop and sit at an angle, which prevents the adjacent cabinet door and drawers from closing properly. The scope of work includes: 1. Assessing the faulty hinge and the stripped screw holes in the cabinet frame. 2. Repairing the screw holes (e.g., by filling and re-drilling). 3. Supplying and installing new screws to securely re-attach the hinge plate. If the hinge itself is damaged, you will need to supply and install a new, matching hinge. 4. Re-hanging and adjusting the door so it is perfectly aligned. 5. Adjusting all adjacent doors and drawers to ensure they all open and close smoothly without catching or rubbing. Please note: The successful contractor MUST supply any necessary replacement parts (e.g., new screws, filler, or a replacement hinge). Requirements: - MUST have proven experience with cabinetry repairs, particularly with concealed/European-style hinges, repairing stripped screw holes, and aligning multiple doors/drawers. - You must supply all your own tools AND all necessary materials (as mentioned above). - Ability to work cleanly and professionally within a live retail environment. - Public liability insurance is required.
