Finish removing mortafill/sealing brick fireplace Description: Looking for an experienced bricklayer or someone with repointing experience to remove the yellow mortar an internal brick fireplace. Some of the work has been started by my husband but needs someone with a good eye and who won’t damage anything else as it’s a new home to: * Remove the yellow mortar and bring back to as it is above. * Tool and smooth all joints so they have a consistent finish. * Clean excess mortar from the face of the bricks. * Blend the new pointing as neatly as possible with the existing brickwork. Need to seal the hole fireplace when finished removing morta so it’s uniform and dust doesn’t come off it This is an older brick fireplace, so experience with restoration or repointing would be preferred. Please quote for labour only. I can provide more photos (attached) and happy to answer any questions. We will provide the stalker , and my husband can help, he has already started. The middle black part doesn’t need to be done and it’s only the front part of the fireplace and the sides. This can be done in a few hours hence the price , basically all you are doing is removing the mortafill and sealing the whole fireplace

Looking for quotes from a bricklayer to build a curved/circular brick border around a fire-pit area, similar to the attached reference photo. Approx 4m diameter - approx 12.5m circumference I’m after the low brick edging only – NOT the raised brick seating/wall shown in the photo. The edging would define the perimeter of a gravel fire-pit area. I will supply reclaimed-style bricks laid to create a neat curved border, with suitable footing/base so it is solid and permanent. Happy for you to advise on the best construction method and quantity of bricks required. Please quote for labour and materials (minus bricks) or let me know your labour cost if I supply the bricks. Pictured attached is current area which used to have a 4m diameter trampoline on it.

I currently have two areas of brick where the mortar is cracked and needs repointing. Also have a previous air conditioner area that was filled with brick - that may need replacing due to poor previous work. Holes in brickwork to be filled as well. Looking for a seamless, non noticeable finish for these repairs. If replacement bricks are required - I’m happy to pay for matching bricks separately. One of the mortar cracks is on the second story (below driveway)
