Looking for a licensed and experienced gas fitter to relocate and reroute a section of residential gas piping. Currently, the gas line runs up the external verandah (as shown in the attached photos). I want this line decommissioned/removed and replaced with a new line running underneath the adjacent cement path to connect the main gas meter directly to the existing internal house piping. Scope of Work: Site Inspection & Disconnection: Safely isolate and disconnect the existing gas supply line running up the verandah. Trenching/Boring: Run the new gas line underneath the existing cement path (approx. 0.5-1.5m) from the meter to the house entry point. Installation: Supply and install appropriate, compliant underground gas piping (e.g., PE or protected copper) and connect it to the existing house framework. Testing & Commissioning: Pressure test the new line for leaks, ensure proper gas pressure, and recommission the system.

Replace Front Door – Experienced Carpenter/Handyman Only I need an experienced carpenter or skilled handyman to replace my front door. I'm looking for someone with the correct tools and experience to ensure a clean, professional finish. This is not a job for someone learning on the go. The job includes: • Carefully remove the existing door without damaging the hinges, as these will be reused. • Remove and keep the existing hinges. • Drill out and transfer the metal house number from the old door to the new door. • Remove the existing deadlock from the old door. • Accurately cut and mortise the new door to suit the existing deadlock. • Bore and fit the hole for a new door knob (door knob supplied by me). • Install the new door, ensuring correct alignment, smooth operation, and even gaps. • Refit the existing hardware and ensure the door latches and locks correctly. When making an offer, please confirm that you have the appropriate tools for this work, including a router or mortising tools, hole saws/door lock installation kit, sharp chisels, drill, and any other equipment required to achieve a professional result. Please also let me know about your experience with door installations and include photos of similar work if possible. I'm happy to pay for quality workmanship and would rather hire someone experienced than have a rushed or poorly finished job.

Task details: I need a locksmith or experienced handyman to swap out my existing front door and back door locks for new smart locks and lever handles. All hardware is supplied — I just need it fitted properly. What’s involved: • Remove the existing Lockwood electronic rim deadlatches (surface-mounted) from the timber front door • Install an Aqara U400 smart lock (Apple Home Key, battery-powered deadbolt style). Note: because the current lock is a rim deadlatch rather than a standard deadbolt, the door will need new boring for the U400 — a cross-bore through the face (~54mm) and an edge bore (~25mm) for the bolt. Please factor this in when quoting. • Fit a passage lever handle set (tubular latch, 60mm backset) supplied separately • Adjust/replace the strike plate on the frame so the bolt throws cleanly and the door closes square • Fill / patch any holes left from previous lock The front door is a solid timber heritage door, so I’d prefer someone comfortable working neatly on older timber and getting the alignment right (the door may have settled slightly over the years). No wiring or power needed — the locks are battery-operated. Photos of existing lock attached (same on both doors) as well as new lock.
