Hi, I’m looking for an experienced carpenter / deck installer to build a small, ground-level front timber deck at my house. This is a labour-only job — all materials will be supplied by me. ⸻ 📐 Deck Details • Front strip: 3.7 m × 1.3 m • Front square: 2.0 m × 2.0 m • Total area: ~8.8 sqm • Ground-level deck (no balustrade, no stairs) • Straightforward rectangular layout • Deck boards to run parallel to the house ⸻ 🪵 Materials All materials supplied, including: • Hardwood decking boards (Spotted Gum or Merbau – confirmed before start) • Treated pine subframe • Stainless screws, brackets, fixings • Concrete pavers for footings ⸻ 🔧 Scope of Work • Scrape and remove approx. 300 mm strip of lawn along the front (approx. 3.7 m long) to allow deck depth • Prepare and level base using concrete pavers • Build treated-pine subframe • Install decking boards with correct spacing • Ensure slight fall away from house for drainage • Deck height to sit just below door threshold • Clean, neat finish (front-of-house feature) Requirements • Proven experience building timber decks • Own tools • Attention to detail (front entry feature) • Please include photos of previous deck work with your offer Looking for a fair fixed price for labour only.
