Hey! We’re looking for a video editor to help bring our short film to life. It’s a passion project with a small team of creatives, and we’re after someone who can take our raw footage and craft it into a polished, emotionally driven final cut. Think pacing, mood, and storytelling through visuals. The film runs approximately 9 to 10 minutes and is a cinematic drama exploring themes of domestic violence and childhood trauma, told from the perspective of a young girl coming to terms with the emotional aftermath of her father’s actions. We’re aiming for a raw yet poetic tone, with a strong focus on atmosphere and visual storytelling. We’ve already shot the film, and now we need an editor who understands narrative flow, has a good sense of timing, and can collaborate closely with our director to shape the final product. Experience with Premiere Pro (or similar editing software) is a must. Bonus if you’re familiar with colour grading and basic sound design to help enhance the emotional tone.
