We are renovating our home and want to make our kitchen bigger by tearing down a wall. We are unsure on the best design to maximise the space and also have the space be modern and practical. We have the floor plan and need a drafty to look at the plans and draw the best option. We want to use the space in the dining room next to the kitchen to expand the kitchen to be able to have an island bench and create a butlers pantry. we also want to use part of the dining room to create a walk in linen cupboard. We also want to increase the useable space of the family and meals room by removing the part of the kitchen counter top that juts out diagonally. I will provide the ideas we have however are looking for someone who has done similar renovations before and can advise of the best layout. Will need to consider lighting (natural or skylights), placement of fridge, sink, oven, microwave.
