What does professional pet sitting include?

Pet sitters will give your pets the practical care they need, as well as love and attention they crave while you’re away. Professional pet sitters are experienced in looking after dogs, cats, birds, chickens, ducks, snakes, rats, mice, guinea pigs, fish, horses, cows, and many more animals. Some ways your pet sitter may help are:

Feeding your pet

Most pets need feeding once or twice a day, plus water checked, changed, and topped up. Your professional pet sitter will make sure your pet has fresh, clean water and that they’re fed on schedule with the right quantities and foods, as specified in your instructions. If your pet has special dietary requirements, you can let your pet sitter know so they can accommodate them.

Exercising your pet

While some pets get enough exercise from running around their enclosure or yard area, if you have a dog, they’ll probably need regular walks. Whether it’s three times a day or just a couple of times a week, your pet sitter can take your dog for a walk so they stay fit, happy, and healthy while you’re on holidays or working late in the office.

Cleaning up

Don’t come home from your holiday or a long day at work to a messy house, yard, or cage. Your pet sitter can take care of all kinds of pet messes so you don’t have to stress. They’ll pick up dog droppings and dispose of them in the bin, change kitty litter as needed, and replace the newspaper in the bottom of your bird or reptile enclosure. Plus, if you’re on an extended holiday, your pet sitter can help arrange pet grooming services like dog grooming and dog washing.

Catering to special requirements

Do you have a dog with diabetes or cat with cataracts? If your pet needs extra special attention, let your professional pet sitter know. Most pet sitters are experienced in pets with special needs, including daily injections, specific diets, giving oral medications, and more. They can even help arrange visits to the vet if your pet needs some extra care.

Pet sitter during the day

Kingston TAS 7050, Australia

30th Nov 2018

I’m looking for someone to pet sit my 5 month old female staffy Narla. I usually work Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm or I might have one weekday off and work Saturday 8:30 - 4pm. We’re located in Kingston, so you will need to live nearby so I can drop her off and pick her up, otherwise you will need to pick her up in the morning and I can pick her up in the afternoon. You don’t need to walk Narla if you don’t want to, you don’t need to feed her, I just want her to be around someone during the day, giving her attention, affection and to play with her. Narla is partly toilet trained, by this I mean you need to take her outside several times a day and she’ll go outside. If you don’t take her outside every so often, then she might have an accident. I would like this to go on for every day I work up until the beginning of March. The price is $25 per week.

Looking for a regular dog sitter Wednesdays

North Hobart TAS 7000, Australia

18th Jun 2019

Hello! I'm seeking a responsible, reliable dog sitter in Hobart CBD or surrounds who can regularly host my small well-behaved puppy in their home every Wednesday. Blue is a sweet 3-month-old Japanese Spitz who loves making human friends and is a pleasure to be around. He is primarily an inside dog who likes the option of outside access. All food, toys etc provided in an organised bag. He is great in the car and will happily come on errands etc with you. I would need to drop him off around 8.30am and pick him up around 6pm. What's most important is that you're regularly available on Wednesdays; I would love to set up an ongoing arrangement.
