Fortnightly housekeeper/cleaner wanted — Dalkeith area. We’re looking for a meticulous housekeeper/cleaner to replace our long-term cleaner (who’s moved into full-time work). This is a deep clean role, not a surface clean — please only apply if that’s genuinely your style to go above and beyond. What “deep clean” means to us: • Skirting boards wiped, windows done, kitchen shutters wiped • Coffee machine cleaned, makeup holder wiped out, the small stuff noticed • Getting into the nooks — not just wiping visible surfaces • House should feel and smell genuinely fresh, almost bleachy afterwards. I keep the house very tidy day-to-day, so you’re not fighting clutter — you’re going deeper than a standard clean each visit. The home: • 3 main bedrooms to clean + 2 guest rooms only need cleaning we have visitors stay — (not often) • 2 main bathrooms • Kids’ playroom (our previous cleaner would tidy books/toys back onto shelves if she had time — that kind of initiative is gold to us) Logistics: • Fortnightly, Monday or Tuesday, 8:30–9am start • Roughly 4–5 hours per visit — stay as long as you need within that range • Paid by transfer on the day Please let us know your hourly rate and confirm that this style of work suits you. Looking for an experienced organiser and cleaner to help get my home ready for an upcoming rent inspection. The house is currently half unpacked, and with working full time while managing a chronic pain condition, I have not been able to get everything finished on my own. I have already made a start, and I am looking for someone who can look at what has been done so far, work out what still needs attention, and help get the house over the line. The property is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with two living areas. Tasks include unpacking remaining boxes, putting items away in sensible places, tidying and organising rooms, clearing and resetting surfaces, wiping down benches and other surfaces, cleaning the kitchen and both bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and helping bring the whole house up to a neat and inspection ready standard. This is not a full bond clean, though I do need someone who is confident with both organising and general house cleaning. Outdoor areas also need attention, including sweeping leaves and sand from the front and back patio areas and giving those areas a general tidy. I will be working from home on the day, and my son will be available to assist and give direction between 9.30 am and 3.00 pm, so availability during this window is ideal. I am looking for someone who is experienced, efficient, practical, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction. Please bring your own cleaning products and equipment.
