You don't need to be registered with the NDIS to be my support person. You do need your own ABN for weekly invoicing, and it takes the NDIS to complete you payment approx 3-7 days. You also need a police check please. Experience as a support person is important, some tasks include and are based on what I may need on the day, like coming to house inspections with me, looking for house rentals, doctor appointments, MRI appointments, I need someone who is a strategic thinker, to assist with writing letters, drop off gifts for my grandchildren, sometimes to help with tidying and raking the backyard, to help with the odd cleaning task, like skirting boards and door frames. I am working on strengthening my fitness for my service dog, arriving in the next 6 months, if you have any helpful tips that would be great too, fortnightly shopping, going to the organic markets, Orange Grove or Marrickville.
