Custom Built-In Walnut Shelving with LED Lighting Looking for a skilled cabinet maker / joiner to design and build a custom built-in shelving unit similar to the attached reference image. Overall concept • Floor-to-ceiling built-in shelving • Warm walnut finish (does not need to be real walnut veneer, but must look high quality and match existing walnut tones in the house as closely as possible) • Integrated LED lighting for a soft, premium look (using Philips Hue LED strips) Dimensions • Ceiling height: 3.36m • Width required: 1.30–1.35m • Full wall width is 145cm, but must allow clearance for a sheer curtain being installed • Depth: • Actual wall depth: 26cm • Skirting board protrudes ~3cm at the bottom • Target shelf depth around 23cm • That extra 3cm can potentially be used to recess/hide LED lighting behind the shelves Design & construction • Vertical side panels with multiple horizontal shelves (open shelving) • Clean, modern, minimal look (similar proportions to reference) • Shelves strong enough for decor objects/books • LED strips discreetly integrated (behind shelves or verticals), compatible with Philips Hue • Power and LED channels neatly concealed Materials & finish • Open to material suggestions (e.g. walnut-look veneer, laminate, or engineered board) • Priority is appearance and finish, not necessarily solid timber • Looking for a good balance between cost and quality - not cheap, but not over-engineered Scope • Measure, build, supply materials, and install • Happy to discuss shelf spacing and final detailing with the right person • Please include examples/photos of similar cabinetry or shelving you’ve done If you have ideas to improve the design or make it more cost-effective without compromising the look, I’m very open to suggestions.

Supply to Noosa, Queensland We’re looking for a skilled carpenter or cabinet maker to build and supply a custom timber bench/shelf to sit on top of an existing reception desk. This bench will be used daily for keyboards, mouse use, and writing, so it needs to be solid, stable, and well-finished. Specifications • Overall height: 30 cm • Depth: 45 cm • Width: 67 cm • Internal shelf: • Positioned approximately halfway up (around 15 cm from the base) Material & Finish • Preferably a nice hardwood timber (exact species and colour not critical) • Thickness should be sturdy enough to comfortably withstand typing and writing • Clean, professional finish suitable for a reception environment Build & Delivery • To be made off-site (at the tasker’s workshop/home setup) • Delivered ready-made on-site to Noosa Heads, QLD • All materials to be supplied by the tasker Other Details • We already have an existing one made that can be referenced for guidance if needed • The unit should arrive fully completed and ready to place on the reception desk If you have experience with custom timber furniture, reception desks, or cabinetry, we’d love to hear from you. I plan to buy a freestanding IKEA TORNVIKEN-style cabinet (72cm wide) and a pre-cut Rubberwood timber benchtop slab (~108–110cm W x 52cm D). I need someone reliable to: Level the cabinet and raise height approx. 1-3cm (feet/shims as required) Securely fix the benchtop to the cabinet from underneath Add any necessary support for a left-side overhang (~38cm) Ensure adjacent cabinet doors remain fully accessible Potentially cut/trim a few CMs from IKEA cabinet shelves to allow room for adjacent existing cabinet door to open fully No wall fixing, no plumbing, no electrical work. All materials supplied. Labour required only. Kitchen is small and accessible and unit will fit against the tiled wall and adjacent to the existing benchtop — see photos available.
