We are looking for an experienced handyman / builder to install a dog door through an external brick wall with internal plasterboard. Details: External wall is brick Internal wall is plasterboard Standard residential cavity wall Dog is medium size Dog door will be wall-mounted with a tunnel (we can supply the dog door, or happy to discuss recommendations) Scope of work includes: Accurately measuring and marking the opening Cutting through external brick and internal plasterboard Installing the dog door and wall tunnel Proper sealing and weatherproofing (external silicone, internal finish) Ensuring the opening is insulated and draft-free Clean, tidy finish inside and out Requirements: Experience cutting brick/masonry Own tools (angle grinder / masonry tools) Care taken to avoid pipes, wiring, or structural elements Please include: Your experience with similar installs Rough cost estimate (labour) Availability Photos can be provided on request.

We have a powder room (14 sq m total area) and a laundry (6 sq m floor area). In the bathroom, we need to put tile on tile in powder room on the floor. And also new tiles in the wall (2x2.6 m each). We need to remove existing sink and toilet, and fixtures in the powder room and replace these with new ones (we will supply these - vanity, sink, toiler, fixtures etc) - we also have a LED mirror that needs to be fixed as well, so may require some electrical connection as well. The vanity is 600 mm x 450 mm. Also we have selected porcelain tiles 600x600 on wall and 300x600 on floor. In the laundry we just need tile and tile on the floor (total area 6 sq m). So looking for a builder - a 1 one stop shop - who can handle all of this (tiling etc, electrical, plumbing etc).

I’m looking for a trade to come and remove my current laundry room and prep it for future renovation. Small 1.5x2m. Work involves removing current w&d and moving them to our deck, removing cabinetry and floor tiles. If you have the skills to do other work involved post that it can be discussed. I have a settlement in 24 hours. A major settlement crack was identified in the pre-purchase report. The owner (a builder) has recticfied the broken bricks as as per the picture attached. I need a qualified Structural Engineer or licensed Building Inspector to review the 'before and after' photos and provide a technical opinion on whether this meets Western Australian Standards or if it is a cosmetic patch. Must be able to provide a brief written summary of findings today. Also, need to know if this is the way to rectify or need to replace the cracked bricks instead. The vendor is a builder by himself so could we ask any structural warranty on the major defect repair?
