Airtasker Ireland Customer Membership Terms & Conditions

These Airtasker Ireland Customer Membership Terms & Conditions (Ireland Membership Terms) are between you and Airtasker UK Limited (Company Number: 10905556) (Airtasker). These Terms govern the purchase, renewal and use of an individual customer Airtasker Ireland Membership. By purchasing, renewing, or using an Airtasker Ireland Membership, you agree to these Ireland Membership Terms and any use of the Platform is also subject to Airtasker's Website Terms and Conditions available at www.airtasker.com/ie/terms (collectively, the Terms).

1. About the Membership

  • 1.1 An Airtasker Ireland membership is a paid membership program that entitles the individual account holder (Member) to assign tasks on the Airtasker Ireland platform https://www.airtasker.com/ie/ (Platform) without having to pay an associated Connection Fee (Airtasker Ireland Membership).
  • 1.2 During an active Membership Period, Members receive €0 Connection Fees on all tasks booked through the Airtasker Ireland platform (Membership Benefits), subject to fair use and these Ireland Membership Terms.

2. Membership Fees and Term

  • 2.1 An Airtasker Ireland Membership costs €59 annually, including any applicable VAT.
  • 2.2 The full cost of the annual Airtasker Ireland Membership is due at the time of purchase.
  • 2.3 An Airtasker Ireland Membership is valid for 12 months commencing from the date of purchase (Membership Period).
  • 2.4 At the end of the Membership Period, the Airtasker Ireland Membership will automatically renew for a successive 12-month period (being a new Membership Period) unless the Airtasker Ireland Membership is terminated prior to the renewal date, in accordance with these Membership Terms.
  • 2.5 By purchasing an Airtasker Ireland Membership, you authorise Airtasker to automatically charge your nominated payment method for the annual fee and each renewal at the then-current Airtasker Ireland Membership annual price.
  • 2.6 You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain accurate and up to date. A failed or declined payment does not relieve you of your obligation to pay.
  • 2.7 From time to time, we may offer different membership programs, and the fees and terms for those different memberships may vary. You will find details about the membership model you are subscribed to, the applicable membership fee and the next due date in your account.

3. Payments

  • 3.1 An Airtasker Ireland Membership can be purchased by any individual with an active Airtasker Ireland user account who is aged 18 years or over.
  • 3.2 To purchase an Airtasker Ireland Membership, you must visit the Airtasker Membership Landing Page and follow the steps to purchase.
  • 3.3 Airtasker Ireland Memberships cannot be purchased using gift cards, Airtasker credits, vouchers, or coupon codes.
  • 3.4 Airtasker Ireland Memberships can only be purchased by the individual account holder who will be the Member. Airtasker Ireland Memberships can not be purchased for any other individual or account.
  • 3.5 Airtasker Ireland Memberships are for individuals only and are not currently available to businesses.
  • 3.6 Airtasker Ireland Memberships cannot be purchased through the Airtasker mobile application and must be purchased via the Airtasker website.

4. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

  • 4.1 You may withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which the contract is concluded.
  • 4.2 When you joined, you asked us to start your Membership Benefits immediately. This means that if you withdraw, you will be liable to pay us an amount in proportion to the Membership Benefits provided to you up to the time you inform us of your withdrawal, and we will deduct that amount from your refund. The deduction will never exceed the Membership Fee. For example, if you assigned one task on which a €10 Connection Fee would otherwise have applied to a non-member, we will deduct €10 and refund the remaining €49.
  • 4.3 We will make the refund without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise, and you will not incur any transaction fee as a result of the refund.
  • 4.4 To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your communication before the withdrawal period expires.

5. Cancellation by You and Refunds

  • 5.1 You may cancel your Airtasker Ireland Membership at any time by contacting Airtasker's customer service team at least 7 days prior to your Airtasker Ireland Membership renewal date.
  • 5.2 Subject to clause 4, Airtasker Ireland Memberships are not refundable. Cancelling your Airtasker Ireland Membership means that your Airtasker Ireland Membership will not automatically renew at the end of the Membership Period. Cancelling an Airtasker Ireland Membership does not entitle you to any credit, refund or exchange.
  • 5.3 Subject to clause 4 and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Airtasker Ireland Membership Fee is non-refundable, which may include circumstances where the Member account has been restricted or deactivated for misuse or material breach of the Terms or deleted on request of the Member.

6. Fair Use

  • 6.1 The Membership Benefit during an active Membership Period, entitles Members to receive €0 Connection Fees on all tasks booked through the Airtasker Ireland platform.
  • 6.2 Airtasker Ireland Memberships are for individual use only and are subject to fair use. Airtasker may impose reasonable limits, monitoring, or restrictions to prevent use outside of fair use, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • 6.2.1 Excessive, repetitive, or abusive booking behaviour.
    • 6.2.2 Sharing access to or use of an Airtasker Member account between other users or by businesses.
    • 6.2.3 Behaviour that Airtasker determines to be fraudulent, exploitative or otherwise outside of ordinary individual customer use.
    • 6.2.4 Booking patterns inconsistent with individual consumer use, for example, commercial volumes.

7. Account Use and Non-Transferability

  • 7.1 Airtasker Ireland Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the individual Airtasker account holder.
  • 7.2 You must not share your account credentials or allow any third party to access or use your Airtasker Ireland Membership.
  • 7.3 Any attempt to transfer, share, or misuse an Airtasker Ireland Membership may result in suspension or termination of the account in accordance with clause 8.

8. Suspension and Termination

  • 8.1 If Airtasker reasonably determines, on reasonable grounds that you have breached these Ireland Membership Terms or Airtasker's Website Terms & Conditions, or Community Guidelines, Airtasker may immediately restrict, suspend, or terminate your Airtasker Ireland Membership or Airtasker account. Any action Airtasker takes under this clause will be proportionate to the breach.
  • 8.2 Where your Airtasker Ireland Membership or Airtasker account is terminated under clause 8.1, you will not be entitled to any refund, credit or compensation. Where your Airtasker Ireland Membership or Airtasker account is restricted or suspended under clause 8.1, your Membership Period continues to run during the restriction or suspension and you will not be entitled to a refund, credit or compensation in respect of it.
  • 8.3 Airtasker reserves the right to accept or refuse any attempts to purchase or use an Airtasker Ireland Membership, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes to the Membership

  • 9.1 Airtasker may, in its reasonable discretion, change these Ireland Membership Terms, the Membership Benefits, discontinue the Membership program or modify its pricing applicable to your next renewal. Any changes implemented by Airtasker will not affect your right to cancel your Membership auto renewal at any time. As reasonably determined by Airtasker, where we make material changes to these Ireland Membership Terms or the Ireland Membership Benefits, we will provide you with 30 days' prior written notice.
  • 9.2 If we discontinue the Membership program or materially reduce the benefits offered during a Membership Period that you have already paid for, we will give reasonable notice and if you elect to cancel (in the case of reduction of benefits) we will refund the Membership Fee paid, on a pro-rata basis based on the unexpired period of that Membership Period.
  • 9.3 If any change to these Ireland Membership Terms is found invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions.
  • 9.4 Continued use of a Membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Ireland Membership Terms.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

  • 10.1 Holding an Airtasker Ireland Membership does not guarantee Tasker availability, pricing, or service outcomes. It merely provides the member with the Membership Benefits.
  • 10.2 Pursuant to Airtasker's Terms and Conditions, you specifically acknowledge and agree that any services provided to you in relation to a Task you post on the Platform will be the services of an independent contractor engaged by you. To the extent permitted by law, Airtasker is not liable for any loss arising out of or in any way connected with the services provided to you by an independent contractor in relation to any Task.
  • 10.3 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Airtasker excludes all liability arising from or in connection with Airtasker Ireland Membership use. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Airtasker's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
  • 10.4 Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that cannot be excluded under law.

11. Privacy

  • 11.1 Personal information collected in connection with your Airtasker Ireland Membership is handled in accordance with Airtasker's Privacy Policy.

12. General

  • 12.1 Airtasker Ireland Memberships cannot be used in conjunction with other offers unless expressly stated.
  • 12.2 You have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and other applicable Irish and EU consumer protection laws which are not affected by these Ireland Membership Terms. To the extent permitted by law, Airtasker makes no additional warranties, express or implied, with respect to Airtasker Ireland Memberships beyond those required by law.
  • 12.3 In the event of any inconsistency between Airtasker's Terms & Conditions and these Ireland Membership Terms, these Ireland Membership Terms will prevail in relation to the Airtasker Ireland Membership.

13. Governing Law

  • 13.1 These Ireland Membership Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. By purchasing an Airtasker Ireland Membership, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
