Hi, I need someone to install a single wall shelf in my lock-up garage in North Randwick. 📐 THE JOB Install 5 L-brackets onto a brick wall and lay 3 timber boards across them to form a continuous shelf. Straightforward installation — all materials will be ready for you on the day. 🧱 WALL TYPE Brick wall — you'll need a hammer drill and masonry anchors/dynabolts. Please only apply if you have your own hammer drill. 📦 MATERIALS I'LL PROVIDE (already purchased from Bunnings) • 2x timber boards — 1100 x 450mm • 1x timber board — 900 x 450mm • 5x heavy-duty L-brackets — 450mm • Masonry screws/dynabolts 📏 SHELF DETAILS • Wall width: 3140mm (boards total exactly 3100mm) • Shelf height: 700mm down from ceiling (approx 2013mm from floor) • Shelf depth: 450mm • 3 boards with 2 join points 📍 BRACKET POSITIONS (important) • B1 — left end (~100mm in) • B2 — at first join point (~1100mm) • B3 — middle of centre board (~1650mm) • B4 — at second join point (~2200mm) • B5 — right end (~100mm in) A bracket must sit at each join point so both boards are supported. ✅ WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR • Experience with masonry/brick fixings • Own hammer drill • Neat and tidy work — level shelf, clean finish Should be around 1–1.5 hours for the right person. We just moved into a newly build rental. We need help with putting up two shelves, one painting, a baby changing table and one small book organiser. It has to be done beautifully and no errors. I shouldn’t take more than 1 hour. We just don’t want to do it ourselves- since we will make mistakes for sure! 😅 Please bring own equipment- we do have. But I guess it’s better to use your own.
