Details: My current lock is a mortise-style multipoint lock with both a latch and a deadbolt, recessed into the door. I am replacing it with a simple latch-only smart lock — no deadbolt, no multipoint mechanism. The lock on my sliding security door has not been working properly for the last couple of months. Even though I have the key, it often does not open. Previously, after several attempts and pushing, it would eventually work but now it has completely stopped working. It seems like the lock may be jammed or damaged. The sliding door is difficult to move (close and open) Also difficult to turn the lock (pointless anyway, as it doesn’t stay locked) There are also old holes from when someone tried to do a quick fix in adding a chain to lock.

'e' and 'w' currently are unresponsive, other keys work fine. E sometimes works, w almost never works. Mechanically depress fine, just no digital output response to physical input, at least that's how it seems. MSI Stealth GS65 laptop. Keys are gel button

Im at an Airbnb and I think I broke the lock and want to fix it tonight. The Latch is turning but door not unlocking from the inside, I want to keep existing mey obviously. I am able to open door from inside by putting a card between the slit. Entry from outside works fine and key turns the lock no problems

Door latch has come out of door. Is not part of lock. Needs to be refitted with new spring. Should be 5 min task for someone who knows what they are doing (unlike me !!)

I have 7 of these window winders in my house. I don't have the keys to them and some feel locked. Others don't feel locked but still don't work. I think the winders can just be replaced? Happy to buy for installation if that's the case.
