I’m currently moving cities, looking for house and pet sitting opportunities from early April until the 22nd of April. Ideally I’m looking around Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, but I’m open to other areas as well. A little about me: I’m 39 years old and work in social services. I’m a huge animal lover with extensive experience caring for pets. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have also volunteered with a rescue organisation, working with stray and anxious dogs. I’ve supported people with intellectual disabilities in learning how to care for dogs too, including walking and handling. I’m also very experienced with cats — I have my own ginger girl, Ananda, and regularly look after my friend’s cat as well. I’m clean, tidy, very reliable, and treat every home with care and respect. I can also provide references and a National Police Check. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely passionate about animals to care for your home and pets, feel free to message me 😊 Thank you! 🐾

Home & Lifestyle Services
What do house sitting services include?
House sitting is done by a trusted professional who is experienced with caring for others’ homes and pets. People often think of availing of this service when going on vacation or business trips. Some even think of long-term house sitting when work keeps them away from home. If you find yourself in any of these situations, a house sitter near you may be the perfect solution. Here’s what you can expect from a house sitting near you on Airtasker:
Home minding
House sitters ensure that your home remains occupied. Their task is to make it look like you are home. Think of it as someone filling in your place. They will do tasks that you would do daily: switching the lights on and off, taking out the rubbish, and locking the doors.
Don’t expect them to do deep cleaning. You can always think of hiring someone to do the housekeeping for you. House sitters near you may do simple cleaning and maintenance tasks such as dusting and vacuuming. You can expect a house sitter to leave your home in the condition you left it. They can also care for your indoor and outdoor plants if instructed, limited to simple watering and mowing. Getting a professional to tend to your garden may be a better idea for long-term house sitting jobs.
Pet sitting and caring
Need to leave your pets at home? Whether a house sitter is needed for a few days or several weeks, you can find a house sitter to watch over them while you’re away. Most house-sitter-homeowner agreements, which are often found when posting a house sitter wanted ad, cover daily care for your pets too.
As the homeowner, you provide them with day-to-day tasks for your pets. You can also include giving them their medication or treatment. Take note that they can’t groom your pet. If you want your furry friend looking their best when you get home, maybe hire a professional groomer before you arrive! You can always relay messages to your homesitters to ensure the best for your pets.
Home repairs and miscellaneous tasks
Aside from occupying your home, home sitters can be in charge of other services as well. If agreed upon, they could bring in the mail and newspapers daily. A house sitter can also answer phone calls and relay any important messages to you.
The occasional home repair can come up now and then: a small leak in the kitchen or damages from a strong storm. It is a sitter’s responsibility to get any necessary repairs. These will be reimbursed by you as the homeowner. It is also your decision whether your house sitter will do repairs or hire a professional.
