I have a brand-new Pillar stainless steel/aluminium security screen door that I need installed at my unit in Hawthorn East. Unfortunately, the door was a special order and appears to be slightly too large for my existing doorway. As it was custom ordered, I am unable to return it and have not had any success selling it. I am looking for an experienced handyman, carpenter, door installer, or security door specialist who can assess the situation and provide a practical solution. This may involve modifying the security door itself, adjusting the existing door frame, or making alterations to the doorway to achieve a professional and secure fit. Door Specifications: * Pillar Security Screen Door * Stainless steel mesh with aluminium frame * New door dimensions: 813mm (W) × 2032mm (H) × 28mm (D) * Brand new, never installed Existing Door: * Existing screen door measures approximately 800mm (W) × 2020mm (H) * Existing doorway is a standard-sized external door opening * New security door appears to be slightly larger than the current installation and may require modification to the door, frame, or mounting arrangement Job Requirements: * Site inspection and assessment * Modify and/or resize door if required * Modify and/or adjust existing doorway or frame if required * Supply own tools and equipment * Complete installation with a neat, secure, professional finish Location: Hawthorn East, VIC Budget: $300 – Open to reasonable offers based on the work required. Looking for an experienced and detail-oriented plasterer/painter to properly fix several patch repairs throughout a residential property. A previous tasker did this work but the finish is unacceptable — the patches were not sanded flat and the paint was not blended, so the repaired areas are clearly visible (uneven texture, trowel marks, mismatched sheen). Scope of work — all-inclusive: Inspect all affected areas (walls near door frames, wall corners, and ceiling line — multiple spots, photos attached) Where needed, scrape back / cut out the poorly done filler Re-apply plaster/filler properly and build up to a flush, even surface Sand all patched areas smooth so there are no ridges, trowel marks or bumps Spot-prime where required Repaint the patched areas and feather/blend the paint into the surrounding wall so the repair is invisible (no visible patch outline, no sheen difference) Requirements: Tasker to supply all materials, tools and paint Must colour-match the existing wall paint (low-sheen / matt white — please confirm or check on site) Quality finish is essential — the whole point of this job is that the repairs must NOT be visible once done Please only quote if you can do a proper professional finish; include examples of similar work or relevant reviews Budget: $300 (all-inclusive — materials + labour). If you genuinely cannot do a quality job within this budget, please let me know your realistic quote rather than under-quoting and rushing the work. Before payment: I will inspect the finished work in good lighting. Payment released once all patches are confirmed smooth and properly blended. Photos attached showing the current poor finish.

Hi there. Needing 2 x doors installed. Door #1 - front entry door - fit and install new front door - install smart lock (bolt) - latch needs to be fixed/secured as seen on photo Door #2 - interior door - convert door into sliding barn door (dont have this but assume can simply buy from Bunnings) - install new interior door and convert to a sliding / barn door (currently a normal open door) We have bought the two new doors already, the existing front door isn’t standard dimensions to my knowledge (not an expert).
