Looking to fix hot water at my bathroom basin mixer that is unreliable. The tap was only fitted a bit over a year ago. Hot water only starts when the kitchen tap or shower tap is opened - cold water perfectly fine. When other hot taps are closed the basin tap gradually turns lukewarm and then cold. Shower and kitchen hot and cold water both work normally. Hot water is supplied by a Rinnai Infinity 20, with one controller. I have done the following: I removed and cleaned the mixer cartridge, with no improvement. The bathroom hot isolation valve shuts the flow off completely and restores it when reopened. The short flexi hose looks clear and unrestricted. Back-flushing through the tap made it worse, so I stopped. Happy for you to check the tap, plumbing and heater as needed. Please send quotes!

I have an area where a bath has been removed. It has a 4 inch earthenware pipe outlet going beneath the concrete bed. The concrete base has been Jack hammered and is uneven. The area is about 1.15 square meters (1.5 X 0.77m) in a corner of the bathroom. There is a floor drain just OUTSIDE of the area, approximately in the middle of the 1.5 m length that the screed needs to slope to. The area needs to be vacuumed so there is NO dust or debris, then it needs a wet-on-wet screed process to be applied.

Bathroom basin surface repair / resurfacing Looking for someone experienced in repairing/resurfacing bathroom basins. White vanity basin has developed several light brown/beige marks that cannot be removed with normal cleaning. There are no cracks or chips and the basin is otherwise in good condition. Looking to restore it as closely as possible to the original white finish. Happy for either a localised repair or resurfacing depending on what you recommend after seeing the photos. This is a rental, so I’m looking for a professional and durable finish. Please include materials in your offer and advise what method you would use.
