I’m looking for an accountant to assist with a limited-scope retrospective review of my company accounts from FY22 to current. I’ve updated the P&L in QBO and drafted the BAS returns, and it looks about right, but I’m not 100% sure. Will need to speak to the ATO to get an extension. The company has had multiple small activities running through it, although it has low revenue, and I’m seeking a practical tidy-up and correction rather than broad advisory work. Specifically, I’m looking for help with: - PSI contractor income and allowable deductions - Correct approach with company share trading activity (balance sheet vs P&L treatment, net gains/losses) - Approach towards my small online business income, expenses, and losses to ensure correct accounting and tax treatment - Review and advise of Personal Services Income (PSI) approach - Any missed or incorrectly classified deductions - Examination of financial statements and general ledger transactions - Assess for relevant small business tax concessions, including the Instant Asset Write-Off. - Liaising with the ATO regarding extension of submission date, payment plan and remission of fees/penalties - Lodging final returns and BASs I am not seeking restructuring, R&D, or high-level tax strategy at this stage, just an accurate reclassification, review and submission of outstanding years to ensure the taxable position is correct. I’m looking to minimize the tax obligation and to get a deal around ATO fees, as I understand I can request to have these removed. Ideally you'll manage this with the ATO. Ideally, this would be a time-boxed engagement or fixed fee. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to hearing from you. I require a registered tax agent to complete outstanding tax obligations across multiple years for a small company. The QuickBooks Online file has been fully rebuilt and reconciled (FY19–FY26), with a BAS schedule prepared and correct GST coding applied. This is a completion and lodgement engagement, not a discovery or advisory-only engagement. Scope of work: - Model the QBO numbers to determine the best treatment/approach for historical director drawings - FY19–FY21: tax already paid (company and personal) on these years as drawings, confirmed treatment - FY22: assessment and amendment required, drawings, loan, or hybrid treatment to be determined - FY23–FY26 company tax returns - FY23–FY26 BAS lodgements - Historical Division 7A / shareholder loan issue resolution - STP setup and SGC remediation - Section 109RB and 109N assessment and implementation - FY22–FY26 personal tax returns affected by the final treatment adopted - ATO liaison, remission CIG etc requests, and payment arrangement negotiation - Bringing all matters through to lodgement and resolution with the ATO, to the clients satisfaction Included in scope (please note before quoting): If a particular treatment is recommended, all associated remediation work required to implement it, supporting documentation, applications, elections, lodgements, and ATO interactions, is not separate, it is the engagement and the scope of work. Engagement structure: Fixed scope, fixed price. Open to a phased structure (e.g. BAS first, CTRs to follow), provided the overall treatment position is settled before hand, based on the QBO numbers, before any return is lodged, since Division 7A treatment affects all years and must be applied consistently across them. I am seeking an experienced TPB-registered Australian tax agent, ideally with strong ATO debt/recovery experience. A former or retired ATO officer who is appropriately registered would be especially welcome. I need urgent help with: • 3 personal income tax returns • 3 company tax returns • 3 trust tax returns • some record reconstruction due to prolonged serious ill health • direct liaison with my allocated ATO Specialist Client Support Officer • advice/representation regarding ATO debt, payment arrangements, penalty and GIC remission, and any Director Penalty Notice issues. My taxation affairs fell behind during a prolonged period of significant physical and mental ill health. I am currently still recovering from major surgery and unable to walk independently. The ATO has granted me approximately 8 weeks additional time to begin bringing matters into order, so turnaround is important.
