I am looking for an experienced paving professional to install a side walkway using large-format stepping stones. The site is fully prepped. The existing road base is already installed and compacted, leaving exactly a 70mm depth to the desired finished height. No excavation or soil disposal is required. The Details: The Area: A side access passage that varies between 0.9m and 1.2m wide. The Stones: 31 pieces of Balmoral Bluestone. They are 600x400x30mm and weigh roughly 20kg each. (They will be sitting on a pallet on the driveway). The Layout: Stones need to be evenly spaced and perfectly aligned down the center of the path. Scope of Work Required: Setting the Stones: The 30mm pavers MUST be laid on a wet mortar mix (sand/cement) directly over the existing road base so they are permanently anchored. Leveling: They need to be perfectly level with a slight drainage fall away from the house walls. What I Will Supply: All 31 bluestone pavers. The prepped site (existing road base). What You Must Supply: All tools (spirit levels, rubber mallet, bricklayer's trowel, mixing equipment, etc.). The sand, cement required to mix the mortar bed. What is NOT Required (Exclusions): No excavation or earthmoving. No road base supply required. You do not need to supply or lay the decorative pebbles. I will backfill the gaps around the stones myself once the mortar is fully cured. Location: Box Hill, NSW. Please only bid if you have specific experience laying natural stone on a mortar bed and can provide photos of your previous work.
