Need someone to fit lvl style or outdoor rated wood cross beams against the existing metal beams on this patio roof and against the brick wall. My plan is to fit a wood slat ceiling with individual boards (not part of this job) and I need solid secure beams that are easy to screw to and can carry the weight of 60 odd wood straps. My idea is to put a wood beam against the middle and outer metal beams (side by side) and bolt them together by drilling all the way through both beams at several places along the length, then securing the nut on the wood side. The house side could be bolted onto the bricks, the key being to get them all to be somewhat level taking into account the door gap and the existing flashing. The distance between the wall and each beam is around 1.8m so it might be worth putting an additional two cross beams at half way in-between 900mm spacing if we can determine a way to attach them securely, open to advice here. The whole area is 3.5m x 3.5m, but the cross beams won't span the entire length. Offer is for labour, happy to pay extra for materials but prefer the whole job to be one price for me and you bring materials.

Inteding to build with H3 90x35, later on install cladding and outdoor blinds in the openings. For now only the frame. I can supply material, need only a labour and expertise for a day. Not in rush, some day in September

Looking for an experienced licensed builder/structural carpenter to widen an existing opening and install a Lotus Doors Glas-Stax Frameless Weather Defence moving glass wall system between our living and outdoor areas. The complete Glas-Stax system is already on site. Scope: Remove existing sliding doors. Demolish approx. 1m of adjoining brick wall to widen opening, with clean saw-cut to remaining brickwork. Remove/dispose of debris. Temporarily prop existing roof/patio structure during works. Supply/install structural steel posts/columns and required footings/anchors. Supply/install engineered steel lintel/beam above opening. Structure must be accurately level, rigid and suitable for the Glas-Stax overhead track. Install and align Lotus overhead track. Install, align and calibrate glass panels, seals and floor guides to Lotus specifications. Make good surrounding areas as required. Details: Lotus Glas-Stax – Frameless Weather Defence Panel height: approx. 2.8m Opening width: to be confirmed on site. Please quote for demolition, structural works, steel/materials and installation. Must have appropriate licensing and public liability insurance, with experience in structural alterations, large openings or architectural glazing preferred.

One of our patio support posts was severely rusted so we had to cut out the bottom before we retiled the area. See the attached picture. This task is to help us source and install a replacement post. It’s unclear who the manufacturer is as I can’t see any discerning marks. Hopefully a person skilled in this area will be able to identify the appropriate post and get it installed for us. Looking for a qualified and licensed carpenter (or builder) to replace the galvanized post anchors/stirrups on two different structural timber posts supporting our outdoor roof framework. Scope of Work: Structural Propping: Safely prop/support the roof load while the post bases are being worked on. Removal: Cut out and remove the old, corroded steel post stirrups at the concrete level. Installation: Supply and install two new heavy-duty, hot-dip galvanized post anchors (bolt-down or chemically anchored into the concrete slab). Fixing: Re-secure the existing timber posts to the new anchors. Tiling Patch (Optional): I have a broken tile at the base of one post. If you are able to neatly lay a replacement tile piece around the new base, please let me know (otherwise, I can manage this separately). Requirements: Must be fully licensed and insured for structural timber/carpentry work. Please bring all necessary structural props and tools. Photos of the current setup are attached. Looking for a clean, professional finish.
