I am looking for an experienced Australian employment lawyer to review my situation and advise whether a non-compete clause is enforceable. I was employed by an Australian company that was later acquired by another business. My original employment contract contained a restraint/non-compete clause. Following the acquisition, I was not asked to sign a new employment agreement with the acquiring company and was instead made redundant. I accepted the redundancy and my employment ended. I need legal advice on: * Whether the non-compete clause is still enforceable. * Whether the acquiring company can enforce it if I never signed an employment contract with them. * Whether I can legally accept a role with another company in the same industry. I can provide my employment contract, acquisition correspondence, and redundancy documents for review.

I’m a carpenter. I’m owed a significant sum by a builder who can’t seem to pay. I need to escalate this by a legal professional who knows the construction law. Most invoices range from 3-8 months old and I can supply the details.
