Task Description: Looking for a freelance interior designer or experienced decorator for initial space planning and design advice for a traditional Paddington terrace. We have a strict budget and are looking for someone who offers practical, cost-effective solutions rather than high-end luxury studio fees. We want to maximize our space without spending a huge amount of money. Ideally, you are highly familiar with layout challenges unique to Sydney terrace houses (narrow footprints, maximizing natural light, and clever vertical storage). What we need help with: • Space Planning: Smart furniture layouts to make the rooms feel larger and flow better. • Practical Advice: Low-cost ideas for styling, paint/color direction, and opening up dark spaces. • Shopping Guidance: Recommendations for budget-friendly retail furniture or clever hacks. Project Details: • Rate: Looking to pay an hourly rate (please state your rate and estimated hours in your offer) or a capped flat fee for this initial consultation phase. • Location: Paddington (Open to a mix of site visit and remote/digital delivery). Budget set at $200 as an initial retainer for the first few hrs of consulting/layouts. Please state your exact hourly rate in your offer if further hours are required! Please share a quick link to your portfolio or examples of previous terrace/small-space projects when you reply!

Hi! I’m looking for someone experienced in architectural design to assist with a project. I’ve already selected two sites in Melbourne and will provide the site images, assignment requirements and a PDF example of the expected standard. Work required: 1. Site Analysis (Both Sites) * Site plans at 1:200 scale * Surrounding buildings, roads, pathways and landscaping * Sun direction, lighting, shadows and views * Site characteristics and accessibility 2. Two Design Concepts * One architectural concept for each site * Concept development sketches * Floor plans, sections and elevations * Axonometric and perspective drawings * Basic interior layouts 3. Final Selected Design * Further development of one selected concept * Scaled architectural drawings * Interior and exterior perspectives * 3D digital model or AI visualisations showing the completed design from multiple angles * Clear dimensions to assist with physical model construction 4. Presentation * Professional A3 architectural presentation layouts * Site analysis, concepts and drawings organised clearly * Similar presentation style to the example provided IMPORTANT: I will be constructing the final physical model myself, so the design must be simple, single-storey and easy to recreate at 1:200 scale. I would prefer modern, minimal designs without complicated shapes or structures. The 3D visualisation is particularly important as I need a clear reference showing exactly how to construct the physical model. I’m looking for comprehensive design development assistance and reference materials. All requirements, site images and student examples will be provided. Please let me know your experience, availability and pricing.

We are looking for an experienced interior designer to design a complete bedroom concept for our 6-year-old boy. Room Details: * Dimensions: 3.3m x 3m * Key Features: One large window, wardrobe with sliding door on one wall, ceiling fan. * Photos & basic floor measurements: Will be provided to the selected Tasker. Key Requirements & Design Elements: * Bed: Must accommodate an existing King Single mattress (we need recommendations for an appropriate bed frame). * Storage: We already own an IKEA 8-cube shelf (Kallax). Incorporating this is optional—let us know if it works well in the layout or if an alternative fits the space better. * Overall vibe: Fun, practical, cohesive, and easy to maintain for a 6-year-old with room to grow. Scope of Deliverables: 1. Floor Plan / Layout: Optimal placement of bed, storage, study/play area, accounting for the large window and door clearance. 2. Concept & Mood Board: Colour palette, wall decor, lighting, and styling accents. 3. Purchasing / Sourcing List: Exact clickable links/retailers (e.g., IKEA, Temple & Webster, local Australian stores) for all recommended furniture, decor, wallpaper/decals, and fixtures, so we can buy and implement them directly. 4. Collaborative Review: A round of feedback/adjustments to align on options before finalizing the deliverable. We expect this to be a coordinated effort rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it submission. To Apply: Please include: * Links or photos of your previous interior design projects / portfolio (especially children’s bedrooms or small spaces). * A brief explanation of your process and timeline.

We are looking for an experienced architect or building designer to help us develop plans for a home extension. We have a very rough concept of how we think the extension could work with our existing home (attached – yellow shows our proposed extension), but before committing to formal plans, we’d really value professional advice to make sure we are making the best use of the space. My husband is a builder and will be undertaking the construction himself, so we have the construction side covered. What we need help with is the design, layout, flow, functionality and making sure we’re not missing a better solution. We are not simply looking for someone to redraw our sketch. We’d like someone who can look at the existing house and proposed extension as a whole, challenge our ideas where appropriate and help us develop the best possible layout. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can: • Review our existing floor plan, measurements and rough concepts • Advise on layout, flow, functionality, light and integration with the existing home • Identify opportunities or issues we may not have considered • Develop an initial concept/floor plan • Advise us on the process and what needs to happen next • Ideally continue with us through site surveys, soil testing, engineering and council/building approval plans, elevations and final documentation The pool has already been quoted and will be handled through a separate council application. We have two young children and are rapidly outgrowing our current home, so we’re keen to get started as soon as possible. We’re happy to provide our sketches, measurements, reference images and property details to help explain what we have in mind. If you’re an architect or building designer experienced in residential extensions and can help us turn a rough concept into a well-designed, approval-ready plan, we’d love to hear from you. Please include quote for this initial review/drawing plus quote for the next stages.
