Looking for an experienced flooring contractor to pull up old carpet and install floating floorboards across the upper level of a vacant townhouse located at Shortland (Newcastle area).Job Specifications:Total Area: Approximately 45 square metres (3 bedrooms + hallway). Current Floor: Old carpet and underlay.New Floor: Click-lock floating timber floorboards (Laminate/Hybrid). Materials: I will supply all floorboards, underlay, scotia trims, and door strips. You must supply your own trade tools, drop saws, blades, glue/nails for scotia, and standard installation hardware. Scope of Work:Carefully rip up and completely dispose of the existing carpet, smooth edge strips, and underlay.Ensure the subfloor is clean and flat.Lay the new floating floorboards to a professional standard.Install matching scotia mouldings along all perimeter skirting boards to hide the expansion gap.Fit transition strips to 3 bedroom doorways.Requirements:Must have your own commercial vehicle to transport and legally dispose of the old carpet.Proven residential flooring experience with previous examples of clean scotia and door-scribing work. Must ensure the site is vacuumed and left perfectly clean upon completion.

Scope of work: • Remove and dispose of approx. 70m² of existing flooring (mix of vinyl and glued-down flooring — adhesive residue removal/scraping required in some rooms) • Supply and install approx. 70m² of hybrid plank flooring (SPC, warm oak tone preferred — happy to discuss product options, 9mm or similar quality) • Remove and reinstall (or replace) approx. 68lm of skirting boards • Aluminium trims/transition strips between rooms as required • Subfloor prep/levelling where needed — note there is a level difference between some rooms, so please factor an inspection for this Areas: 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, hallway.
