Female popping/isolation dancer — 4-min commissioned solo, Metropolis-themed birthday (Sydney) Private birthday party on Sydney's lower north shore, 17 October, themed on Fritz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis. It's a full production — cue cards, a live run sheet, commissioned performances — not a standard party booking. The piece: "The Machine-Man Awakes" — a four-minute popping and isolation solo built around Kraftwerk's The Robots. Arc: statue, first flicker, systems test, discovery, standing, a smile that turns into something unsettling. It's the robot Maria from the film, so we're looking for a female dancer. What's offered: paid commission, full brief provided, full creative control to develop the piece your way. Budget: $950–$1,000, reflecting the development, rehearsal and performance work involved (and net of Airtasker's platform fee). Before development begins: a short in-person meet — we'll show you the space and lighting, and would love to see a little of your movement work. Key dates • Rehearsal: Saturday 10 October, evening • Performance: Saturday 17 October, evening On the night • Call time 7:15pm • Transition into the room 8:00–8:05pm • Performance 8:05–8:09pm, then a robotic exit • Carry the birthday cake in with the other performer from ~8:30pm, in the room until ~8:50pm, then robotic exit • Under 2.75 hours on site each night Please send a video or reel of your work, along with your availability for both dates.
