Looking for someone with lots of carpentry/cabinet experience for two small jobs. First: I have 6 wardrobe doors with traditional butt hinges that need ball catches installed, aligned properly. The original catches were removed during a paint job and weren’t reinstalled. Standard size/weight doors - I unsuccessfully trialled a magnet latch on one. A heavier duty ball catches is probably needed—tell me the type/brand and I’ll buy from Bunnings. Second: properly and securely install a Masterlock lockbox onto a brick wall. Please confirm what drill type and materials you’ll bring. IMPORTANT: I need someone who has done both these tasks previously. Please share your experience and an estimated total completion time (range is fine). Thanks.

I need an existing bathroom mirror cabinet/metal vanity surround assessed, removed and replaced due to severe corrosion. The bathroom has a large mirrored storage cabinet above the basin. A black metal surround runs down the sides of the mirrored cabinet and across the area immediately behind the basin. The horizontal metal section has severely rusted and is now flaking/deteriorating. From the construction, the rusted section appears to form part of, or be integrated with, the larger mirror/cabinet surround. I am therefore looking for someone experienced in cabinetmaking, bathroom joinery or similar work to assess the existing unit and determine the best replacement approach. The white basin is a separate fixture and is to remain. I would also like to retain the existing wall-mounted tapware if possible. The scope would ideally include: * Inspecting and measuring the existing unit * Determining whether the existing mirrored cabinet can be retained or whether the complete mirror cabinet/surround needs replacing * Recommending a suitable bathroom/moisture-resistant replacement * Supply/fabrication of the replacement as required * Removal and disposal of the existing corroded components and cabinet if required * Installation and sealing of the replacement * Retaining the existing basin and tapware where possible * Leaving the bathroom completely clean and free from rust, sharp metal and debris Other apartments in building have had the same issue with the original bathroom units and have replaced them. Given the extent of corrosion, I want the failed component(s) properly removed and replaced. I have a child in the apartment, so safe removal and thorough clean-up are particularly important. Photos are available showing the corrosion, cabinet interior, side profile and relationship between the mirror cabinet, metal surround and separate basin. Budget is indicative only — please quote based on inspection, materials and the extent of replacement required.

I’m looking for an experienced bathroom renovator/cabinetmaker to modify or replace my existing bathroom vanity so a front-loading washing machine can fit underneath the benchtop, similar to the attached reference images. The job may involve: • Inspecting and measuring the existing bathroom and vanity • Removing the current vanity • Designing/supplying a new waterproof benchtop and compact sink arrangement • Creating an opening underneath for a front-loading washing machine • Retaining some practical storage if space allows • Connecting the washing machine to the existing water and waste plumbing • Making the finished installation neat, secure and suitable for a bathroom wet area I would like the new setup to suit the bathroom’s existing white and black finishes. I have not purchased the washing machine yet and would appreciate advice on the maximum dimensions/model that will fit. Please let me know which parts of the work you are licensed to complete and whether you can coordinate any required licensed plumber or electrician. Located in Northcote.
