Design Brief – Kangaroo Island Holiday Home Photos are concept only Seeking an experienced designer, architect, builder or development consultant to assist with developing and assessing a holiday home concept for Nepean Bay, Kangaroo Island, SA. Ideally, I am looking for someone familiar with South Australian planning, council approval processes, building classifications and residential development requirements. Concept The concept is to build a holiday home using pre-engineered and prefabricated structural frame systems, with the potential to construct the project in stages. Key design requirements include: Pole home design with ocean views Two identical master bedrooms, each with its own ensuite Bedrooms positioned at opposite ends of the home Central kitchen and living area separating the bedrooms Living area designed with a strong indoor/outdoor connection Additional separate lower-level pavilion containing: Bedroom Bathroom Laundry Focus on outdoor entertaining and holiday lifestyle Cost-effective construction without compromising appearance or functionality Suitable for an owner-builder approach Assistance Required I am looking for advice on: Feasibility of the concept Cost-effective construction methods Prefabricated and modular frame options Council approvals and planning requirements Building permits and engineering requirements Recommended next steps to move from concept to approval Task is for advice at this stage with option to engage further. I’m looking for someone with interior design or styling experience to help me pull together the final look for my small hairdressing salon. The main furniture/fixtures have already been purchased, so I need someone who can work with what I already have rather than starting from scratch. I’d love help with: * Arranging the furniture and deciding the best layout * Putting together a shopping list of décor, storage and finishing pieces * Sourcing affordable items and providing links to purchase * Choosing pieces that work with my existing furniture and overall style * Making the space feel cohesive, polished and more expensive than it actually is! I’m definitely working to a budget, so I’m looking for someone who is good at finding affordable pieces from places like IKEA, Kmart, Target, Temple & Webster, Marketplace etc. rather than high-end designer furniture. I can provide photos, measurements and pictures of all the furniture/items I already have. Ideally looking for someone with a good eye for warm, minimal, modern salon/interior styling who can help me bring everything together without blowing the budget. Remote Interior Designer / Stylist – Whole Home Colour Palette & DIY Makeover Plan I’m looking for an interior designer, stylist or experienced colour consultant to help me develop a cohesive look and feel for my home, with a focus on affordable, achievable DIY changes rather than major renovations. This can be completed remotely. I will provide clear photos/videos of the rooms, measurements where needed, and inspiration images showing styles and colours I’m drawn to. What I’m looking for I’d like help to: * Establish an overarching design aesthetic for the whole home * Develop a cohesive colour palette that flows from room to room * Recommend paint colours, finishes, textures and materials * Create mood boards/design direction for the key rooms * Suggest achievable DIY projects and improvements * Work with the existing structure, layout and as much existing furniture as possible * Recommend things like curtains, rugs, lighting, hardware, peel-and-stick tiles/wallpaper, artwork, accessories and furniture updates * Identify where spending a little more would have the biggest impact * Provide a shopping/product list, ideally using products readily available in Australia The overall goal I’m not looking for a high-end renovation plan or architectural drawings. I want someone with a great eye for colour, texture and personality who can look at what I already have and help me turn it into a home that feels considered, cohesive and interesting. I’m very happy to paint, decorate, upcycle and undertake DIY projects myself. I mainly need someone to help establish the **overall creative direction and give me a practical roadmap to follow**. I’d love to see examples of styling projects or similar e-design work when responding.

Includes moving a few walls, need to be compliant with fire extinguishes, signage, energy efficiency and the rest of it. We are doing a renovation and would like someone with an eye for detail to give us their ideas on the best floor plan for our space. We are wanting to renovate the bathrooms, laundry and kitchen so are open to anything at this stage. The ‘rumpus room’ and ‘study’ on the plan are rooms that we don’t really use so if you have any idea on making that space more accessible. One of my possible thoughts was to remove the internal walls for the rumpus room and study and open that area up. Put the kitchen along the wall where the sliding doors to the patio is and instead put the sliding doors where the rumpus room is. And create a living/dining area in the rumpus room. A kitchen with a butlers pantry is our first renovation priority so we would love to sort out the plans first so we can eventually do the rest.
