Airtasker Customer Membership Terms & Conditions

These Airtasker Customer Membership Terms & Conditions (Membership Terms) are between you and Airtasker Limited (ABN 53 149 850 457) (Airtasker). These Terms govern the purchase, renewal and use of an individual customer Airtasker membership. By purchasing, renewing, or using an Airtasker Membership, you agree to these Membership Terms and any use of the Platform is also subject to Airtasker's Website Terms and Conditions available at www.airtasker.com/au/terms (collectively, the Terms).

1. About the Membership

  • 1.1 An Airtasker membership is a paid membership program that entitles the individual account holder (Member) to assign tasks on the Airtasker Australia platform www.airtasker.com (Platform) without having to pay an associated Connection Fee (Airtasker Membership).
  • 1.2 During an active Membership Period, Members receive $0 Connection Fees on all tasks booked through the Airtasker Australia platform (Membership Benefits), subject to fair use and these Membership Terms.

2. Membership Fees and Term

  • 2.1 An Airtasker Membership costs $89 annually, including GST.
  • 2.2 The full cost of the annual Airtasker Membership is due at the time of purchase.
  • 2.3 An Airtasker Membership is valid for 12 months commencing from the date of purchase (Membership Period).
  • 2.4 At the end of the Membership Period, the Airtasker Membership will automatically renew for a successive 12-month period (being a new Membership Period) unless the Airtasker Membership is terminated prior to the renewal date, in accordance with these Membership Terms.
  • 2.5 By purchasing an Airtasker Membership, you authorise Airtasker to automatically charge your nominated payment method for the annual fee and each renewal at the then-current Airtasker Membership annual price.
  • 2.6 You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain accurate and up to date. A failed or declined payment does not relieve you of your obligation to pay.
  • 2.7 From time to time, we may offer different membership programs, and the fees and terms for those different memberships may vary. You will find details about the membership model you are subscribed to, the applicable membership fee and the next due date in your account.

3. Payments

  • 3.1 An Airtasker Membership can be purchased by any individual with an active Airtasker Australia user account who is aged 18 years or over.
  • 3.2 To purchase an Airtasker Membership, you must visit the Airtasker Membership Landing Page and follow the steps to purchase.
  • 3.3 Airtasker Memberships cannot be purchased using gift cards, Airtasker credits, vouchers, or coupon codes.
  • 3.4 Airtasker Memberships can only be purchased by the individual account holder who will be the Member. Airtasker Memberships can not be purchased for any other individual or account.
  • 3.5 Airtasker Memberships are for individuals only and are not currently available to businesses.
  • 3.6 Airtasker Memberships cannot be purchased through the Airtasker mobile application and must be purchased via the Airtasker website.

4. Cancellation by You and Refunds

  • 4.1 You may cancel your Airtasker Membership at any time by contacting Airtasker's customer service team at least 7 days prior to your Airtasker Membership renewal date.
  • 4.2 Airtasker Memberships are not refundable. Cancelling your Airtasker Membership means that your Airtasker Membership will not automatically renew at the end of the Membership Period. Cancelling an Airtasker Membership does not entitle you to any credit, refund or exchange.
  • 4.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Airtasker Memberships have no cooling-off period, and Airtasker Membership fees are non-refundable, including in circumstances where the Airtasker Membership is partially used, completely unused or the Member account has been restricted or deactivated for misuse or deleted on request of the Member.

5. Fair Use

  • 5.1 The Membership Benefit during an active Membership Period, entitles Members to receive $0 Connection Fees on all tasks booked through the Airtasker platform.
  • 5.2 Airtasker Memberships are for individual use only and are subject to fair use. Airtasker may impose reasonable limits, monitoring, or restrictions to prevent use outside of fair use, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • 5.2.1 Excessive, repetitive, or abusive booking behaviour.
    • 5.2.2 Sharing access to or use of an Airtasker Member account between other users or by businesses.
    • 5.2.3 Behaviour that Airtasker determines to be fraudulent, exploitative or otherwise outside of ordinary individual customer use.

6. Account Use and Non-Transferability

  • 6.1 Airtasker Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the individual Airtasker account holder.
  • 6.2 You must not share your account credentials or allow any third party to access or use your Airtasker Membership.
  • 6.3 Any attempt to transfer, share, or misuse an Airtasker Membership may result in immediate restriction, suspension, or termination of the account without any refund.

7. Suspension and Termination

  • 7.1 If Airtasker determines at its sole discretion that you have breached these Membership Terms or Airtasker's Website Terms & Conditions, Airtasker may immediately restrict, suspend, or terminate your Airtasker Membership or Airtasker account.
  • 7.2 In the event that your Airtasker account is restricted, suspended, or terminated for breaching Airtasker's Website Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines, you will not be entitled to any refund, credit, or compensation.
  • 7.3 Airtasker reserves the right to accept or refuse any attempts to purchase or use an Airtasker Membership, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Changes to the Membership

  • 8.1 Airtasker may, in its reasonable discretion, change these Membership Terms, the Membership Benefits, discontinue the Membership program or modify its pricing. Any changes implemented by Airtasker will not affect your right to cancel your Membership autorenewal at any time. As reasonably determined by Airtasker, where we make material changes to these Membership Terms or the Membership Benefits, we will provide you with 30 days' prior written notice in writing.
  • 8.2 If any change to these Membership Terms is found invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions.
  • 8.3 Continued use of a Membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Membership Terms.

9. Disclaimers and Liability

  • 9.1 Holding an Airtasker Membership does not guarantee Tasker availability, pricing, or service outcomes. It merely provides the member with the Membership Benefits.
  • 9.2 Pursuant to Airtasker's Terms and Conditions, you specifically acknowledge and agree that any services provided to you in relation to a Task you post on the Platform will be the services of an independent contractor engaged by you. To the extent permitted by law, Airtasker is not liable for any loss arising out of or in any way connected with the services provided to you by an independent contractor in relation to any Task.
  • 9.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Airtasker excludes all liability arising from or in connection with Airtasker Membership use.
  • 9.4 Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under law.

10. Privacy

  • 10.1 Personal information collected in connection with your Airtasker Membership is handled in accordance with Airtasker's Privacy Policy.

11. General

  • 11.1 Airtasker Memberships cannot be used in conjunction with other offers unless expressly stated.
  • 11.2 You have certain rights under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded and are not affected by these Membership Terms. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to Airtasker Memberships, including without limitation, any express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • 11.3 In the event of any inconsistency between Airtasker's Terms & Conditions and these Membership Terms, these Membership Terms will prevail in relation to the Airtasker Membership.

12. Governing Law

  • 12.1 These Membership Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By purchasing an Airtasker Membership, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
