Looking for meticulous, highly experienced painter/handy tradie to restore, prep & stain multiple outdoor timber features on our premium property. Since this timber sits directly adjacent to high-end finishes (stone cladding, glass balustrades, tiled spa shell & composite mod-decking), extreme attention to detail and rigorous masking/protection are strict requirements. Scope of Work: 1. 6 Sets of Timber Stairs: Spot treat weathered patches with a chemical cleaner, light sand & stain (treads and risers). 2. Curved Slatted Batten Screen: Light wash, sand & precision stain (requires careful brushing/rolling between gaps from both sides). 3. 7 Vertical Columns & Surrounding Ledges: Light sand & stain. 4. Spa Coping: Deep prep & stain the timber frame directly surrounding the spa. Job Requirements: • Rigorous Protection (Crucial): Must spend adequate time using premium painter’s tape and drop sheets. Absolutely zero overspray, splashes, or chemical runoff is permitted on the stone walls, glass fencing, tiles, or composite decking. • Preparation: Use supplied timber cleaner on the weathered steps/coping to strip the grey dead cells and open the grain. Give all surfaces a uniform light sand so the final stain blends evenly between the weathered and unweathered sections. • Coats: Apply 2 coats of premium timber oil in a Merbau/Spotted Gum tone to match our adjacent mod-deck). Materials & Tools: • I will supply: The chemical timber wash & the premium timber stain/oil. • You must supply: An extension ladder capable of safely reaching the second story columns, precision sanding equipment, scrubbing brushes, high quality painters tape, protective drop sheets & application tools (brushes, mini rollers, trays, pads) Please view the attached pics to see exact layout and scale.
