I'm looking for an experienced leatherworker, upholsterer or leather craftsman to help create a premium leather-wrapped skateboard deck for my art and home decor brand. The goal is to take a genuine wooden skateboard deck and professionally wrap it in high-quality leather, creating a seamless, luxurious finish suitable for a premium wall-mounted art piece. What's involved: - Lining the front of a standard 31-inch wooden skateboard deck with leather. - Carefully shaping and adhering the leather around the deck's curved nose, tail and edges. - Achieving a smooth, tight finish without wrinkles, bubbles or visible imperfections. - Ensuring the leather is securely bonded and won't lift or peel over time. - Maintaining the skateboard's original shape and contours. What I'm looking for: Someone with experience in leather upholstery, automotive interiors, custom leather goods or similar precision work. Experience wrapping curved or irregular surfaces would be particularly valuable. Materials: I can supply the skateboard deck. We can discuss leather selection, suitable adhesives and other materials together. Potential ongoing work: This is initially a single prototype. However, I'm developing a premium product range, so there may be opportunities for ongoing paid work if the finished product meets expectations.
