Looking for someone available this Friday or Saturday to clear and prepare an area of our backyard following recent building works. The area is currently overgrown with a mixture of grasses, broadleaf weeds and established vegetation. There are also uneven dirt mounds and compacted sections left over from construction. Scope of work: Remove all existing weeds, grasses and unwanted vegetation, including established weeds and roots wherever possible. Remove all existing vegetation rather than simply whipper-snipping or burying it. Use a rotary hoe, powered cultivator or suitable garden equipment to break up and turn over the existing soil. Break up compacted earth and remove larger roots, rocks and any remaining building debris. (There shouldn’t be much of this as most was cleared away) Break down existing dirt mounds and redistribute the soil to level out the area. Leave the ground reasonably loose, level and prepared for future grass seeding and planting. Collect and remove all weeds and green waste from the property, including disposal. A few important notes: We do not want any chemical weedkillers, herbicides or soil treatments used. The area will eventually be used for a chicken coop/run and children's cubby house. We have young children and a dog, and will be introducing chickens shortly, so we're looking to keep the area free from chemical treatments. Some of the existing grass and weeds have been painted during recent coop construction, so these need to be removed rather than cultivated into the soil. Ideally, we're after someone with their own tools and equipment, including a rotary hoe or powered cultivator if suitable. Please include green waste removal and disposal in your quote.
