Looking for a qualified commercial refrigeration technician who may be available ASAP to diagnose and repair a Sanden SPC-1207A two door underbench commercial fridge at our cafe in Newstead. The fridge is still cooling, but very slowly and struggling to maintain temperature during normal use. Symptoms: * Set to 2degrees * Has previously reached around 2.9–3 degrees overnight when left untouched * During normal cafe use it has been rising to around 10–15C+ * Compressor and condenser fan are running, but cooling/pull down is very slow * Air from the evaporator feels cool, but not particularly cold * Condenser has already been cleaned * Both condenser and internal evaporator fans appear to be operating * Area around the fridge is approximately 27–28C, so not excessively hot * Temperature logger shows some regular temperature rises approximately every 6 hours, possibly normal off cycle defrost * Restarting the controller brings the compressor back on, but the fridge still cools slowly * Door seals are also being replaced tomorrow The unit uses R134a. We’re looking for someone who can properly diagnose the refrigeration system, refrigerant charge/leak, restriction, compressor performance, airflow, controller/defrost etc. — rather than simply adding refrigerant without testing. This is an important milk fridge for our cafe, so we’re hoping to find someone who can attend before Tuesday if possible. Please let me know your availability, call out/diagnostic fee and whether you work on commercial refrigeration.
