I’m looking for a skilled carpenter, handyman or landscape builder to help design and build an attractive solution to conceal exposed plumbing along the exterior wall of my home in Hampton. As you can see from the photos, there are several exposed copper pipes, drainage pipes, taps, a hose reel and a gas hot-water unit that make this part of the garden look quite untidy. What I’m looking for: I’d love some creative ideas to transform this area into something more attractive, modern and in keeping with the rest of my garden. I’m open to suggestions, including: * Custom timber or aluminium screening * Built-in planter boxes with cut-outs for pipes and drains * An outdoor bench with integrated planters * Decorative screening or a custom enclosure * Any other clever, space-saving solutions Important requirements: * All plumbing, taps, drains and valves must remain accessible for maintenance and repairs. * Any screening must have removable or hinged sections where necessary. * The existing hose reel needs to remain functional and easy to use. * The gas hot-water unit must remain accessible, properly ventilated and compliant with safety requirements. * Existing drainage and wall vents must not be obstructed. * Materials must be durable and suitable for outdoor conditions. * Ideally, the finished result will be sleek, modern and relatively low-maintenance. What I need from you: Someone who can assess the space, recommend a practical and attractive design, and ideally supply materials and complete the installation. I’m happy to consider different approaches depending on cost and practicality. I have inspiration images but would welcome your professional recommendations. Location: Hampton, VIC Please share examples of similar work you’ve completed, your suggested approach and an indicative quote. Happy to arrange a site inspection before agreeing on the final design.
