Why hire an architectural photographer through Airtasker?
Bold and highly creative, architectural photography is a specialised type of photography. This is not to be confused with the services provided by corporate photographers or real estate photographers. Their services may have similarities in terms of the subject, but the methods can be very different. Only a seasoned photographer can capture the beauty of a building with the use of unique angles and special equipment - but you don’t have to look far to find one!
Discover professional photographers on Airtasker that can make uniquely-designed structures stand out and look fantastic in pictures. You can hire them by making a job posting on our platform. Be sure to mention your location, budget, medium, size, and the resolution you want.
Taskers will ask about the job, you agree on the price, do the shoot and pay them afterwards. After you’ve agreed on the price, you can proceed with scheduling the shoot. You can release payment after the job, and only after you are satisfied with their work.

Top Architectural Photographers related questions
It’s quick, easy and convenient. This service is hard to come by, and finding the right photographer online is difficult. With Airtasker, talented local photographers will find you. You only have to make a job posting detailing your architectural photography needs. Taskers will inquire about the job and give you a free quote.
You aren’t obliged to provide tools or equipment to your hired Taskers. They will have their equipment, such as a DSLR camera with all the filters, lenses, accessories and lighting equipment. The only items you may have to provide are permits for doing the photoshoots at your specified structures and locations, and perhaps drones. You may also have to provide for the lighting in the building, in case of nighttime shoots.
An architectural photography shoot for one structure can take at least one full day, from sunrise to sunset. This may stretch to the wee hours if the weather is a problem or if you need a lot of nighttime shots for more than one structure - you’d want the lighting to be perfect as well. If you contract your photographer to do photo editing or retouching, add another day.
Yes. This is advisable if you want to publish a coffee table book or need help getting shots for the corporate profile or other relevant documentation for a large company. For business headshots and interiors, you may want to try corporate photographers or real estate photographers instead. Be clear about what you need the photographer to do, as they are experienced professionals with a high hourly rate. If you need someone to carry your equipment, consider hiring photography assistants.

What do Architectural Photography services include?
The architectural photography services include taking photos of your specified building, span, home or other structure. Photos are shot such that they highlight and showcase unique design elements. The architectural photographer can do these specialised shots at different times during the day or night and may do the necessary retouches, such as removing blemishes or unwanted elements, applying digital filters, cropping the image, and more.
Wide-angle photography
An architectural photographer can take dozens of photos of your specified structures. Whether office buildings, hotels, bridges, tiny homes or other architectural structures, Taskers can shoot the interiors or exteriors and shoot the best angles. Some may also use aerial and drone photography for the shots.
Depending on the application of these photos, Taskers can take shots for creative architectural photography, black and white architectural photos, abstract or artistic architectural photography.
Night time shots
Some Taskers can take photos of your specified structures at night. Structures with distinct designs can give you more unique shots when lit from an angle or with a colour that’s different from sunlight. Your architectural photographer can use a tripod and their lighting equipment to illuminate your subject and offer you evening shots that bring out the distinct character of a structure. Aerial drones can take some of these nighttime shots if there’s enough lighting.
Editing and retouching photos
Your hired architectural photographer may offer to do some simple retouching and editing on the photos. This process can involve cropping out or digitally erasing unwanted elements, adjusting the zoom, increasing the contrast or adjusting the white balance.
Depending on your requirements, some Taskers can apply digital filters, do colour-correction and use other digital effects to get the results you want. You can hire another retouching and editing if the Tasker doesn’t offer this service.
Digital copies and high resolution printouts
The architectural photographer you hire usually provides the final shots in digital format at the size and resolution of your choice. These photos can be burned onto a DVD or stored in a USB drive, then hand-delivered or sent via courier. Some Taskers may offer to make printouts in high-quality digital photo paper so you can have these framed and hung like portraits for display.
