Trim plasterboard/stud wall

$180

Details

Widen fridge cavity by approx. 5cm (trim plasterboard/stud wall) - Our new fridge doesn't fit the fridge cavity in our kitchen, so we need it widened by about 5cm. The cavity has a plasterboard-clad stud wall on the left and a white gloss cabinetry end panel on the right, with overhead cabinets above. We'd like the left wall trimmed back by about 5cm. That means cutting back the plasterboard and framing, then making good with new corner bead, patching and painting so it looks clean and finished. Please note: • There's a blanking plate on the inside of the left wall covering an old hole. It can come off, and the hole should be patched as part of the job. • The overhead cabinet above the cavity must stay properly supported. • Current cavity width: 79 cm. Fridge width: 79 cm (fridges usually need 1–2cm clearance each side for ventilation). • Timber floors, so care and dust protection are needed. Open to suggestions if trimming the right-hand cabinetry panel would be easier. Photos attached. Please quote, including painting.
