Ah, the beach. It’s one of my absolute favourite places to be. It’s so relaxing and is just a lovely place to hang out. So why not bring all those warm and fuzzy feelings of the beach into your space? It is no wonder that many people are opting for a beach-themed bedroom.

Whether you want a complete bedroom renovation or add some decor pieces to change your bedroom theme, you’ve come to the right place. You can bring the beach into your abode in many different ways.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a nice holiday drink, put your feet up and check out these 20 beach-themed bedrooms!

1. Minimal and Modern

Now, this is a beautiful way to start, indeed! If you want a beach-themed bedroom, this is where you could start. Choose a simple bed linen and feature cushions, then add a palm tree print above the bed or a surfboard as decor, and you’ll have a very minimal and modern beachy bedroom!

2. Natural Fibres

If you want to bring the outside in, this bedroom idea is for you. Incorporate natural fibres into your space. Some examples are a bamboo bed frame and furniture, a rattan basket and a woven rug. With these around your bed, you will always feel like you are in a tropical paradise.

3. Room with a View

It doesn’t get much more beachy than living near the actual beach. Start by positioning your bed to face a large window or glass door overlooking the ocean or a beautiful beach landscape. Decorate the room with light, breezy curtains that allow the natural light to flood in during the day and create a soothing ambience. It is also best to choose a colour palette inspired by the seaside, with soft blues, sandy beiges, and crisp whites.

4. Navy Details

Infuse your beach-themed bedroom with sophistication by incorporating navy blue details. Start with a neutral sandy beige or crisp white base for walls and bedding to mimic the beach’s tranquillity. Then, introduce navy blue accents strategically throughout the room. The colour lends a sense of depth to your beach-themed bedroom while maintaining a serene and soothing atmosphere.

5. Green and Tropical

Green isn’t the first colour that comes to mind when you think “beachy,” but it does work so well! Having different shades of green in the room is excellent in bringing the tropical paradise together.

6. White on White

If you are a sucker for white on white, this bedroom idea will not disappoint. White can bring so much tranquillity and zen to a beachy bedroom. With an all-white beach-themed bedroom, you’ll create a peaceful oasis where relaxation seamlessly intertwines.

7. Baby Blue

Blue is a great colour to wear if you want to incorporate all those beachy and coastal vibes. A beautiful baby blue bedroom looks so relaxing and inviting.

8. Decor Details

There are many ways to make your bed area look beachy, but the decor you’re looking at while you’re in bed should also be continuing with the theme. Add some cute beach prints, quotes, plaques, shells, coral, miniature ships, and other beach-inspired decor. Quick, easy and oh-so effective!

9. Coastal Kids

If your kids love the beach, then a beach-inspired bedroom will certainly make them grin from ear to ear! An ocean-themed feature wall can be easily achieved with some decals and paint; all you’ll need are some feature cushions or beach-inspired furniture.

10. Palm Leaves

Embrace the tropical serenity of the beach by incorporating palm leaves into your bedroom decor to evoke a sense of lush paradise. You can choose to bed with palm leaf patterns or prints. You can also consider framed palm leaf art or wall decals for a more subtle touch. You can bring real palm leaves into your bedroom by placing potted palm plants.

11. Pattern Play

Mixing patterns can be a little daunting. But when you are mixing patterns all within the same colour scheme, it can look fantastic! You might like a baby blue beachy bedroom with so much going on, but it all works. You can break up the heavy patterns with simple frames or solid-colour items.

12. Minty Magic

For a refreshing beach-themed bedroom, consider decorating with minty colours. Mint green is the star of this theme, bringing a sense of calm to your space. Paint your bedroom walls with a soft, minty hue to create a calming backdrop. Complement this base with crisp white or sandy beige furnishings to maintain the coastal feel.

13. Guest Bunks

Installing guest bunk beds is the best choice if you expect lots of company at your beach shack! Opt for natural grain timber to create this idea’s rustic, beachy charm. Its warm, earthy tones mimic driftwood washed ashore, blending with the coastal aesthetic.

14. Side by Side

Here is another clever bunk installation that would work well for a place expected to welcome many guests. Optimise space and create a fun, beachy atmosphere in your beach-themed bedroom with side-by-side bunk beds. Choose sturdy, beach-inspired bunk beds designed to sit side by side. To capture the essence of the beach, select a light wood or white-washed finish for the bed frames as well.

15. Red Vibes

Red isn’t typically beachy; it can suit a nautical-style room. Since red is on the opposite side of the colour wheel to blue, these two colours go hand in hand. So adding red alongside your navy will help both colours to pop.

16. Blue, White and Crisp

Capture the essence of the beach with this timeless and fresh colour theme. A light blue and white bed brings a subtle pop of colour into the room without it being too much. You can also add a light pendant that is a beachy and trendy take on a formal chandelier.

17. Dark Wood, Light Details

If you want to create a light and airy beachy space but have dark furnishings to work with, then this one is for you! Offset your dark furnishings with a white wall, light bedding and other light decor pieces.

18. Throw Me a Life Ring!

Wow, it doesn’t get much more beach-themed than including a life ring, sailing knots, and an anchor as your decor! These decorations can make your bedroom look like it belongs on a ship! You will always be ready to throw someone a life ring, catch some fish, or paddle away with these decor choices!
