We first launched #Caretasker back in 2020 to help Australians recover from the bushfires.
But recently, we’ve been devastated to see the damage caused to our communities by the heavy rains, wild weather and exceptional flooding, so we decided to bring the program back.
As an Australian-made marketplace, we’ve always had the community at the core of our product and everything we do. In this spirit, we want to make it easier for people to share their skills and help each other during this critical time.
It’s been truly inspiring to see Australia come together. We hope our #Caretasker program will play a small part in bringing people together, too.
Airtasker brings back its #Caretasker program to support flood-affected communities across Queensland and New South Wales.
For a limited time, we’re monitoring the jobs posted from flood-affected areas with #Caretasker in the description.
If your eligible task helps with repairs and recovery, we’ll add a no-strings-attached, once-off Airtasker credit of up to $200 to your Airtasker account to put towards it. You’ll get a confirmation email when it happens.
Eligible tasks could include flood-related tasks like rubbish removal, cleaning, supply delivery, removals and plumbing, to name a few.
We want to encourage as many people as possible to pitch in with the recovery efforts. And, we know some Taskers may have been affected by the floods, too.
For a limited time, we’ll be refunding your service fee if you’re a Tasker who’s completed an eligible task in a flood-affected area.
Finish the job, get paid, and keep an eye on your email to see if your service fee refund is on its way.
