Kieran Nagle, 43 (Heathrow, London) – National Winner

Having completed over 400 tasks and earned consistent five–star reviews, Kieran Nagle, 43, from the Heathrow area of London, has built a strong reputation on Airtasker over the past few years and has been recognised as one of Airtasker’s Top Taskers of 2025.
He first turned to the platform after seeing a TV advert during a particularly quiet period for his own handyman business during the Covid pandemic, when work slowed significantly, and realised it was something he could easily fit around his existing commitments and daily routine.
Kieran is a flat pack king who carries out handyman tasks across London, specialising in furniture assembly and general household jobs. Alongside Airtasker, he also runs his own business and website, meaning the platform now accounts for around half of his overall income, alongside his independent work.
On average, Kieran completes between 10 and 15 tasks per week, typically working Monday to Friday. Demand fluctuates throughout the year, with the summer months being particularly busy.
In terms of earnings, Kieran typically makes between £2,500 and £3,000 per month through Airtasker. This income plays a key role in supporting his day–to–day life in London, covering living costs and bills, while also creating opportunities he wouldn’t otherwise have had. Thanks to Airtasker, Kieran has been able to fund holidays, including a trip to Vietnam, something he says would not have been affordable for him previously.
Using Airtasker has had a significant impact on Kieran’s outlook on work. “It’s revolutionised everything for me,” he explains. “It makes me feel more in control of what I can pick up and when.”
Alongside the financial security, he enjoys meeting new people and working with friendly customers. Some of his most memorable tasks have even involved working for celebrities, adding a unique and unexpected element to his work.
“I would 100% recommend Airtasker to someone,” he says. “It’s changed my life.”
Lewis Foat, 35 (Lathom)

Lewis Foat, who lives near Manchester in Lathom, started using Airtasker at the beginning of 2025 after a friend recommended the platform. Living in a smaller community, Lewis was initially unsure how much work would be available locally, but those concerns quickly disappeared. Since signing up, he
has completed tasks not only in his hometown, but also across Liverpool and Manchester, and says he has remained consistently busy ever since, with his hard work culminating in being named one of Airtasker’s Top Taskers for 2025.
A qualified plumber by trade, Lewis offers a wide range of handyman services through Airtasker. His work includes furniture assembly, TV mounting, media walls, media systems, and building home gyms, as well as other bespoke household projects. He describes his work as a real mix, enjoying the variety that comes with each new task.
On average, Lewis completes 10-13 tasks per week, with Airtasker now accounting for around 75% of his overall income. Some of his most interesting projects have included building custom media wall setups, complete with feature walls and decorative fireplaces. He has many repeat customers and consistently operates at the Gold and Platinum levels on the platform.
Typically earning between £2,000 and £3,000 per month through Airtasker, Lewis structures his time carefully. For around three weeks of each month, he works back–to–back on Airtasker jobs, taking on a high volume of tasks. In the final week of the month, he deliberately schedules time off to travel abroad and visit his family. He says the flexibility Airtasker provides makes it possible to manage family commitments overseas, something that would be far more difficult in a traditional full–time role.
“I would absolutely recommend Airtasker to those looking to broaden their horizons; it fits in perfectly with my on-the-go lifestyle,” he says. “I think it’s great for anyone looking for flexibility.”
Melanie Osborne, 51 (Oval, London)

Melanie Osborne, 51, from Oval, signed up to Airtasker in May 2024 and says the platform has been a complete game changer, helping her rediscover confidence, purpose, and a passion for something she loves and never believed would become a second income stream.
Working in Finance for over 20 years, Melanie has been working from home part-time since Covid, and whilst happy in her job, it came with less social interaction and activity, which had a negative impact on her.
After losing her mum in 2023, and her children getting older, Melanie was left with more time on her hands. She says that Airtasker filled the gap, got her more physically active, and helped rebuild her confidence, giving her a renewed sense of purpose. A keen gardener who had always helped friends and family, she discovered Airtasker after following an amazing local painter who shared an article about his experience. Curious, she signed up and quickly began securing gardening jobs.
“I’ve always loved gardening, I used to do it for myself and my mum, as I love the outdoors. I never thought it could turn into a Career,” she explains. “Airtasker gave me the confidence to put myself out there.”
Since joining, Melanie now completes around three to four gardening tasks a week, travelling up to an hour across London and fitting work around her weekday hours at her laptop and family life. Her first couple of months on the app saw her bring in approximately £6,000 and have given her the vital experience needed to continue growing into a professional Gardener.
She says the extra income has helped the family enjoy more holidays, saving more, and provided a bigger blanket to cover the extra expenses that may arise, but the impact has gone far beyond finances.
Her commitment to never leaving a job unfinished and consistently high standards has earned her a string of 5-star reviews, leading to Melanie being selected as one of Airtasker’s Top Taskers for 2025.
“I take real pride in my work, and the feedback means everything,” she says. “Knowing people trust me and ask me back makes me feel incredibly proud.”
Melanie’s family often gets involved too, with her partner helping on larger jobs and her two children occasionally lending a hand, giving them early lessons in work ethic and pride in doing a job well.
In materialising something that she loves through Airtasker, Melanie has become more confident in her craft than ever. She says that Airtasker has opened doors she did not know existed and helped her turn a long-held hobby into meaningful, flexible work that fits around her life.
“At 50, I was thinking, what else can I do with my spare time? What do I really enjoy doing? ” she says. “This platform gave me belief in new beginnings in a life without my mum, and showed me that there are other ways to work and earn doing something you love.”
Andrew Leonny, 30 (Rochester)

Andrew Leone Massicosta, from Rochester, began using Airtasker in the summer of 2024 after his wife spotted the local services marketplace on Instagram and encouraged him to create a profile.
Previously working at a London museum reception desk as a translator, speaking English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Andrew found the routine restrictive and disliked being in the same place every day. After joining Airtasker, he quickly realised it offered the flexibility and creative freedom he had been missing, and has since made it his main source of income. His dedication has since been recognised with an award as one of Airtasker’s Top Taskers for 2025.
Andrew completes a wide range of tasks, from handyman jobs and carpentry to building custom media walls and designing 3D projects on his computer. The variety allows him to combine practical skills with creativity, something he particularly values.
Typically, Andrew takes on two to three tasks a week, though many of the projects are larger jobs that can take up to three days to complete. Through Airtasker, he now earns between £2,000 and £3,000 a month with a glowing 5-star rating.
The income supports everyday living costs, including rent and bills, but for Andrew, the biggest benefit has been the flexibility it provides. With a young child and a newborn, Airtasker allows him to spend more time with his family while still earning a reliable income.
“It made me realise I don’t have to work in the same place every day,” Andrew says. “I can choose when and how I work, which means I can be at home more with my wife and children.”
Beyond financial security, Andrew has also built friendships through the platform and enjoys meeting new people. He credits Airtasker with changing his outlook on work and quality of life.
Simon Watt-Milne, 48 (Islington)

Simon Watt–Milne, 48, an Artist from Islington, turned to Airtasker after an expected art commission was pulled in October 2024. The commission was due that month to cover his rent, so when he discovered Airtasker, he was able to start earning quickly.
With a background in journalism, the arts sector, and project management, Simon’s skill set enables him to offer a wide range of services on Airtasker, from curating installations to furniture assembly, personal assistant services to painting and repairs.
He typically completes 10 or so tasks a week across London, valuing the variety and interaction with clients, and with consistent 5-star reviews, the tasks Simon has completed have earned him recognition as one of Airtasker’s Top Taskers of 2025.
Airtasker now makes up around half of Simon’s income, saying that if he shifted to the platform full-time, he could earn up to £2,500 a month. But he prizes Airtasker’s flexibility, which enables him to consistently supplement his income to cover his rent and living costs, while maintaining the freedom to continue his art consultancy business and pursue sales of his own work.
One standout task involved assembling a luxury Moooi cabinet for a client in Fitzrovia. The piece arrived as 140 individual components with no screws, turning the job into a complex, design–led puzzle. Halfway through, a hinge was accidentally knocked off the balcony, instantly creating a missing piece and adding even more pressure to the build. Simon had to pause the job, contact the manufacturer in the Netherlands, and improvise solutions, all while keeping the client calm and reassured. What could have been a disaster became one of his most enjoyable and memorable tasks.
Simon found December was a particularly busy and enjoyable month, saving someone by picking up a dress for their Christmas party, and the joy of putting together bikes that parents had bought as gifts for their children.
Simon credits Airtasker with giving him financial security, flexibility, and independence. “It gives both the Tasker and the customer peace of mind,” he says. “Payments are prompt, clients and the Tasker are protected, and once you build strong reviews, the work really comes to you.”
Now balancing Airtasker with his art practice, he says the platform has become a reliable and long–term part of his working life and is a reliable option for skilled Londoners seeking a flexible income.
Increasing Tasker sign-ups
Airtasker continues to provide a flexible way for people to monetise their skills, supplement their income, or take a step towards self–employment, particularly at a time when many households are feeling financial pressure. For some, the platform has offered a vital safety net; for others, a complete career reset.
In 2025, Tasker earnings rose by approximately 48% compared to 2024, highlighting how more Brits are taking their earnings into their own hands as side hustles become a mainstream way to top up income. With household budgets under pressure, flexible, skills–based work is proving increasingly attractive, allowing people to earn on their own terms rather than rely solely on traditional employment.
In particular, demand surged during the summer months, with July marking the platform’s busiest period for activity and June close behind; these two months delivered a 136.2% year-on-year uplift in offers from Taskers. In the UK, Airtasker continued its expansion beyond London into Birmingham and Manchester, with the number of tasks posted on the platform rising by 55.7% in 2025.
Airtasker Founder and CEO Tim Fung commented, “The annual Top Tasker Awards celebrate the people who keep communities moving, the skilled locals who show up, solve problems, and earn trust job after job. This year’s winners are a brilliant snapshot of what’s happening across the UK: people turning practical skills into real, reliable income, whether it’s alongside another role or as a full–time living.
We’ve seen continued momentum in cities like Manchester and Birmingham, where more customers are getting help faster, and more Taskers are building repeat work. From assembling furniture and installing home set–ups to carpentry, gardening, and creative art commissions, these Taskers are raising the bar for quality and customer service, and proving flexible work can be a serious career.”
Whether it’s help around the home, a specialist build, or a creative project, Airtasker connects customers with skilled locals ready to get the tasks done, while giving Taskers the freedom to earn on their own terms. For those interested in turning their skills into flexible work, Airtasker’s Side Hustle Calculator allows users to explore how much they could earn by taking on a set number of tasks each week.
