We’re excited to announce that Airtasker has acquired Oneflare, Australia’s 3rd largest local services platform, for $9.8 million!
This deal brings together two major online service marketplaces that aim to connect professionals who are ready to work, with people who need to get things done. Tim Fung, co-founder and CEO of Airtasker, sees nothing but good opportunities ahead with this acquisition:

A single marketplace platform
Merging Airtasker and Oneflare strengthens network effects and improves the experience of both customers and Service Pros, which include around 98,000 independent Taskers and 14,500 active verified businesses.
With this, customers gain access to a broader range of skills and services, as well as faster response times with more Service Pros available to take on various tasks.
On the flipside, Service Pros also get more job opportunities than ever as Airtasker and Oneflare combine 200,000 monthly posted tasks and 50,000 monthly posted jobs, respectively.
In 12-18 months, Airtasker will be able to focus all its energy on a single marketplace platform, effectively investing more into the product to provide a stronger suite of features and a better user experience.
Unlocking more trades opportunities
Oneflare has established its presence in trades, home improvement, and professional services, giving Airtasker plenty of opportunities to serve more customers around these categories.
Through this acquisition, we will also likely integrate different versions of Oneflare’s sweet stack of features into the Airtasker marketplace – such as new pricing models whilst maintaining an open marketplace structure and our current zero-upfront fee.
