We sincerely thank our Taskers for all your constant hard work and contributions to the Airtasker community, despite the recent challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
We understand how hard it can be to get back on your feet, especially after three months in lockdown.
To help overcome this, the New South Wales government has announced further financial support measures that may be available to you.
The New South Wales (NSW) government has announced that the Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate will increase from $1,500 to $2,000. In addition, road user tolls for business vehicles will be added as an eligible fee that businesses can claim. The rebate will be available until 30 June 2022.
Taskers based in New South Wales may be eligible for the Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate, if they operate as a small business owner, including a sole trader.
The NSW government increased the rebate to help tradies and small businesses recover from the impacts of COVID-19. By offsetting fees and charges, the rebate aims to encourage growth by reducing the cost of running a business.
Taskers may use the rebate to offset eligible fees and charges due and paid from 1 March 2021. Such fees include, but are not limited to:
You can view the full list of eligible fees and charges here.
If you’re a small business owner, including a non-employing sole trader, you may be eligible for the rebate if:

Eligible businesses need only apply for the rebate once but may submit multiple claims until they have claimed the full $2,000 rebate.
