Airtasker has given me the ability to work when I can and earn good money at the same time.

“Previously to Airtasker I worked for many years in a sales and administrative position until I became a mother. I needed to return to the workforce, as a single mother, and do something that had the earning potential to justify putting my kids in childcare while using my already established skills.”

“I’ve been on Airtasker since late last year, and it is perfect for me as I can work within my own availability. I currently have 3 days a week that my children attend preschool, so that is when I can complete tasks as well as occasionally on weekends.”

Sam’s tip: You may have trouble at first getting tasks but be persistent and stick with it because it can be very rewarding and lucrative.

“Airtasker has given me the ability to work when I can and earn good money at the same time. I had a lot of trouble at first with people punting my ability due to the fact I am a woman but the reviews helped me to increase my workload, and I’m no longer having trouble winning tasks.”

“The most interesting task was when I had to drive two little puppies up to Newcastle. As I live in a unit, I am unable to get a puppy as much as I would love one and this gave me the chance to hang out with two gorgeous puppies while also getting to enjoy the beautiful drive up the coast and a few stops on the way back.”

I think this is a great story. Good on you Sam for being prepared to step outside the box and look for work that allows you to be a good Mum and work as well. I know how hard it is to do that as a single mother and commend your persistence. Best of luck with everything.
