What are the benefits of the Airtasker Membership?

What is the Connection Fee?
Customers are charged a fee known as the Connection Fee when assigning a Tasker. This fee allows Airtasker to maintain a secure platform, offer Customer support, provide insurance for eligible tasks and continue building tools that help you get anything done.
The Connection Fee is charged once the work has been assigned; this is unrelated to the Service Fee charged to Taskers.
However with an Airtasker Membership, the Customer Connection Fee is waived.
Are there any limits on task prices or the amount of tasks once I’m a member?
Absolutely zero limits for individual members. Whether you’re posting 5 tasks a week or 50, your membership covers it all with no Connection Fees. This applies to every task regardless of price, so you’re covered for everything from a $20 quick fix to a $2,000 project.
Zero limits apply to the individual member, however, please see the FAQ titled “Can multiple people use one membership at the same time?” for further details about account sharing.
Can I use my Airtasker Membership on tasks I’ve already posted?
Yes, if you haven’t assigned a Tasker yet. To benefit from your Airtasker Membership, you must join first then head to your open task and assign a Tasker. The Connection Fee will then be removed.
How am I billed for the Airtasker Membership?
You’re billed $89 once a year on the day you sign up. To make sure you never lose access to your Airtasker Membership benefits, your membership is set to automatically renew exactly one year from your purchase date.
Payments must be made using a valid credit or debit card. Airtasker credits, promotional codes and gift cards cannot be used.
Can I cancel my Airtasker Membership at any time?
Yes, you can cancel the automatic renewal of your Airtasker Membership by contacting our support team. You’ll keep your $0 Connection Fee benefit until the end of your current 12-month cycle. You paid for the year, so the year is yours regardless of whether you renew.
You can’t cancel your existing membership for that current year as your annual payment has already been made and is not refundable.
Will I be notified before I am charged for renewal?
Always. We’ll drop a reminder before your renewal date. No surprises.
Do I still have to pay the Tasker?
Yes. Whilst Airtasker Membership removes the Connection Fee that would typically apply, you are still responsible for paying the agreed-upon task price to your Tasker once the job is done. All payments to Taskers are processed securely through Airtasker’s online payment system.
What happens if I cancel a task?
Maintaining a reliable community is what makes Airtasker work for everyone. If you are held responsible for cancelling an assigned task, the standard cancellation fee of 15.95% of the task price will still apply. This keeps the marketplace fair for everyone and ensures Taskers can commit to jobs with confidence. For the full breakdown of how cancellation fees work, check out our Cancellation Policy.
What happens if the Tasker cancels a task?
If a Tasker is held responsible for canceling an assigned task, don’t worry. Any funds held in Airtasker Pay for that task will be returned to your Airtasker credit balance or your original payment method, as per our Cancellation Policy.
Does the Airtasker Membership affect the Tasker’s Service fee?
No. Airtasker Membership is a membership built exclusively for individual Customers. Taskers still pay their standard Service fees, which help Airtasker keep their side of the marketplace running smoothly.
Who can purchase a Airtasker Membership membership?
Airtasker Memberships are open to all individual users. However if you’re a business and are looking for a membership that is more tailored to your needs, register your interest here and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s available.
Can multiple people use one membership at the same time?
What locations can I use the membership?
Airtasker Memberships are only available in Australia. While you can’t take your Airtasker Membership across borders yet, we’re constantly expanding and will let you know if things change.
