Airtasker on ChatGPT is powered by Airtasker’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which lets ChatGPT interact with our platform to carry out tasks on your behalf.
Imagine telling ChatGPT: “I need my TV mounted.” Airtasker on ChatGPT can help you fill in the details, set your budget, and turn your request into a task ready to post.
The next thing you know: “Frank is booked for Friday night and can mount your TV for $75.”
How it works
Airtasker on ChatGPT works for both Posters and Taskers with an existing Airtasker account. Sign in once, then use ChatGPT to interact with Airtasker directly in your conversation.
For Posters, you can:
- Post a task: “I’m moving from Newtown to Randwick on Saturday, can someone help?”
- Compare offers: “Compare the offers I received for my end-of-lease clean in Brooklyn.”
- Hire and assign: “Book the top-rated Tasker for my garden clean-up in Parramatta.”
For Taskers, you can:
- Find work near you: “Show me available furniture assembly jobs in Newcastle.”
- Write a winning offer: “Help me write a clear, professional offer for that lawn mowing job in Bondi.”
Speed, ease, and secure payment
Airtasker on ChatGPT lets you complete key steps without being redirected to another website. You can post a task, review offers, and book a Tasker inside the chat.
For businesses and homeowners, this means delegating task posting and hiring can become part of your normal workflow. For Taskers, it means finding relevant jobs directly through ChatGPT instead of simply receiving a link to the Airtasker marketplace.
Payments are handled through Airtasker, so you won’t need to enter your card details into ChatGPT. If your wallet needs a top-up, or you need to cancel a booking or resolve a dispute, you’ll be redirected to Airtasker.
CEO and Founder of Airtasker, Tim Fung, said: “AI is great at giving people information they need and have details about a topic or situation, and know people are already using AI assistants to write out what they need done and cover off the details – but what it couldn’t do is show up in person to fix it for you. That’s the gap we’ve closed, so the conversation ends with the job done rather than a list of links, all without leaving the chat.
“Two-thirds of these tasks are hands-on, local work: removals, handyperson jobs, trades and cleaning. The typical task is also worth 20% more than the marketplace average, suggesting that when people have the right information upfront, they feel more confident investing in getting it done properly.”
Ready to try Airtasker on ChatGPT?
Airtasker on ChatGPT is now available in Australia, the UK, and the US, on both mobile and web. If you already have an Airtasker account, you can connect it to ChatGPT and get things done right away.
To get started:
- Open ChatGPT and go to Settings > Plugins (or find the Plugins Directory from the sidebar).
- Search for Airtasker in the Plugins Directory, or click here
- Complete the sign-in and authorisation process. You won’t be asked to enter payment details.
- Start chatting. Add the Airtasker connector and tell ChatGPT about your task.
