Yep, you really CAN get paid to eat pigs in blankets

Forget the Coca Cola advert rolling onto our screens; this task to find a ‘Pigs in Blanket Taste Tester’ marks the real start of Christmas.

YES, REALLY.

The Oast House in Manchester want to perfect their bacon-wrapped offerings so much they’re willing to fork out an eye-watering £500 to the right person to give them the honest feedback they need. And if The Daily Mail, MetroThe Evening Standard, Manchester Evening News, The Mirror (…the list goes on) are anything to go by – people are excited.

But what’s it all really about? Here’s what the Development Chef at The Oast House has to say:

“Pigs in blankets are the talk of the town this Christmas and are undoubtedly the trending food item of the season. That said, the pressure is on to ensure we’re serving up the best pigs in blankets and Christmas nibbles in the city.

We’re wanting to play around with ingredients and flavours – and in order to pin down the perfect recipe, we need someone to come in and taste test to ensure our guests have the best Christmas nibbles possible! We’re looking for a local festive foodie to visit The Oast House and give the team and I some honest feedback, face-to-face.”

And there you have it.

How to apply? Just let The Oast House know your funniest Christmas story by ‘making an offer’ on the task below – and they’ll pick their favourite!
