Our team’s role in Airtasker's mission is…

What’s interesting about the role of our marketing team is that Airtasker is a two-sided marketplace and we have to attract both Customers and Taskers. It wouldn’t be a great time if neither of them are on the platform, right?

Through multi-channel initiatives across CRM, Brand, PR, Paid Marketing, SEO and Social Media, we inspire our marketplace with the mission of empowering people to realise the full value of their skills. One day, Airtasker will be the world’s most trusted place to buy and sell local services! Watch this space.

It’s also the role of marketing to ensure that the user journey is consistent by partnering cross-functionally with our product team. Creating delight and brand love is high on our list, increasing frequency and returning customers so that the entire community of Airtasker benefits from our growth.

Our team’s ways of working are…

We’re a busy bunch who support the growth of our core marketplaces in Australia, the UK and US. We also work with product and engineering to review the holistic user journey and collaborate on product initiatives which ultimately drive towards our goals.

We drive growth and increase retention through coordination between earned, owned, shared and paid marketing channels. We’re like a very sturdy, well-done spider web.

Work-life balance is a must, so we’re empowered to divide our time as we see fit between working remotely and collaborating in person.

What makes our team awesome to work in is…

From subject matter experts to generalists, we have them all! It’s what makes us pretty awesome.

We work hard, we laugh hard but we Food Safari even harder (lunch adventures together every Thursday). Collaboration is key and we jump on it at every opportunity. We strive for better efficiencies, we learn from each other and just generally, enjoy each other’s company.

Lisa A.

What began as a side hustle soon became an “accidental” business. After years in a corporate job she didn’t enjoy, Lisa took a friend’s advice and joined Airtasker in 2017.
She took on gardening jobs, using her skills as a qualified horticulturist, with her very first task involving planting and weeding for a client, whom she is now good friends with and still works for nine years later.
Lisa says Airtasker gave her direction when she felt stuck, helping her turn practical skills into a career she truly loves.
