Airtasker Stories: Brendon O.

A sparky by trade, Brendon jumped onboard when he went back to studying. Here's how Airtasker fit in with his busy lifestyle...

“I’ve been on Airtasker for about 8 months and I’ve been an electrician since school. So I complete a lot of electrical tasks, but I also have a big ute (truck) with an empty tray. So I pick up things for people and any other tasks I can get my hands on really.”

“It gave me a platform to work during this time because it was hard to lock down days…”

“I got started on Airtasker while I was studying geology and geophysics. It gave me a platform to work during this time because it was hard to lock down days with the guys who I did my usual electrical work with. So the freedom of Airtasker really helped a lot.”

Brendon’s tip: “Read what the task is asking for and answer any questions that are being asked. Sometimes people just make an offer and don’t really read the task. You need to be sure that you can complete it.”

“Airtasker gives me the flexibility of being my own boss and choosing my hours. I still work with my electrician guys but I can also choose to do my own thing and make a bit of extra money, which really helps.”
