I am a passionate and enthusiastic tutor of Italian, German and English as a foreign language, with a Master’s degree with distinction (110/110 magna *** laude) in modern foreign languages, issued by the University of Turin (Italy). I hold a TIAFL 'Teaching Italian as a foreign language' certificate from the Italian Cultural Institute, London. I have been working as a full time tutor for over 3 years, tutoring students with different origins and backgrounds, both in person and online. In particular, I have been teaching Italian and German to KS3, GCSE, IB, AS, A-Level, primary students and adult learners, providing in-company and tailor-made courses as well. I am currently teaching evening courses for adults at St Giles London Central English language school, Wimbledon school of English and Islington Centre for English. I always tailor each lesson to my students' individual needs and personal interests and I use my experience to develop engaging lesson plans, aiming at awaking students' interest and motivation. My communicative approach enables students to develop confidence quickly and to use the language effectively in a variety of situations. To keep sessions engaging and stimulating I use games, songs, videos and authentic materials such as films or newspaper articles, which enable students to come into contact with relevant cultural aspects related to each language. I am committed to raise children’s achievements and help them improve their grades: almost all my GCSE students achieved an A or an A* in their final exams in June 2017.
