Charged the battery as been sat for the winter on the ride on mower wouldn’t quite catch so like a muppet tried jump starting from the van now won’t turn over Don’t know if it’s blown a fuse or something else !

Quad bike been sitting for years. Want to bring it back to life

Ktm duke 390 from 2013 Motorbike had piston ring and rotor replaced by me and didnt start anymore so was left as project for the last 2 years. I am interested in a mechanic that could make the engine work again. I suspect that i didn't put the timing chain/sprockets corectly or something . It gets gas, and it has spark but not sure about compression and timing.

Suzuki Gs500 engine in quad bike frame, engine turns over, spark coming through, compression is good, only getting backfires, not starting at all.
