Laminate flooring repair

Nag's Head, Greater London

17th Jul 2020

We have interlocking laminate flooring in our living room/kitchen. There are two "strips" that have started to slide apart - it looks like they've started to slide behind the skirting in the kitchen. You can slide them back into position, but they just come apart as soon as you walk on them. I'd really like to get them fixed in place. Date is flexible.

Kashif did a great job of diagnosing and fixing the floorboards. We felt really confident in the quality of the work - and he’s a great guy too! Thanks Kashif.

Fixing Old Victorian Floorboards

Nag's Head, Greater London

29th Sep 2020

Hi, I have just moved into an old Victorian house and the top two floors have lovely (but slightly tired) Victorian floorboards. I am looking for someone to fill in the gaps between the floorboards and generally buff them up, get rid of the old filler which is now splintering, etc. The skirting boards would also ideally be re-caulked once this is done. This would be for the staircase (3 sets of stairs), two landings and two rooms. Given the age of the house and the delicate nature of the floorboards, it would be great to have someone experienced working with these kinds of houses. Thank you!

Fix uneven sub-floor beneath engineered wood

Lower Holloway, Greater London, N7

11th Jul 2019

Hi, long story but: I had a big leak in my basement floor and the engineered floor needed replacing. When the old planks were lifted we saw that the sub-floor was very uneven. The new planks were correctly fitted but now the creaking and cracking is unbearable due to the uneven floor. I dont want to relevel the whole subfloor as i dont want to have to damage and shift up all of the skirtings which have been freshly fixed and painted together with the new plaster walls. So i am looking to: - lift up the wood planks, they were "click" ones... i have some spares but ideally not damaging them. - fix the worst part of the subfloor so that there are no more dips that cause uneven planks and creaking. - put back the engineered wood. please let me know if this can be done and the expected cost. the floor area is about 8m2 thanks Tomas
